We do it in stages starting with the first experiences with this particular car

We do it in stages starting with the first experiences with this particular car. I will add afterwards remain experiences. Like many 'inspired' by the large tax benefit but go test drive again. Interior is uniquely designed with a high-tech flavor. A lot fresher and more refined than the interior of the Golf V who drove until recently, but again comparable with the C4 which is also several years has been in our possession.

The car drives differently than other cars. It's minimal, but it is noticeable that there is something between the bedalen and engine - IMA technology sometimes gives the impression that after giving (the throttle) of a signal as a group have to wait so it really happened. Annoying? No, just anticipation.

Then you arrive at the traffic light and the engine goes from here. Delicious that rest, let the brake and the car is ready to move. This also costs a fraction of a second, yet you often leave earlier than the rest. Linking / costs also include switching time.

The speed is sufficient. Especially above 80 you notice that he is doing well in the "DRIVE mode, but not as a way rocket sprint. Sport mode gives a little more speed, but is associated with more engine noise. Among the 80 are you surprised at the speed; the CVT automatic transmission is a continuously variable system, so you lose nothing by switching moments. Bit timers for other road users, I find myself having to hold out if the car in front of me is the upshift.

Due to the favorable weight distribution (light front engine, battery back) zooms the Civic comfortable through long bends. Short turns gives some inclination, but with the 16 "wide 205 tires that I let you assemble here less problems than the standard 15 below eco-straps you get there.

Equipment is fine, standard, there is a lot of the following options you can consider:
- rims (see picture, 't help properly)
- leather (post gives more color choice and no compensation)
- Navigation (even ex-factory, but in the dashboard)

there is audio package, xenon, parking sensors, body kits, etc, etc to get.

Update 18-3-2008:
The consumption is all that back, driven by 3,000 km. The board computer keep it at 1: 14.5, but if I the liters against the mileage expandable I come more close to the 1: 16.5 to 1:17. Still I drive the speed limit, but a few times harder than that. I have the impression that the car on BP euro 98 (Ultimate) does not drive well, he comes across some jerky. Regular euro 95 is fine otherwise.

Update 23-7-2008:

A few more weeks and he goes for his first (small) turn. There are therefore already nearly 20.000km again. Consumption will not go back, I keep stabbing at an average (since the beginning) of 6,5liter per 100km, 1: 15.3 so. By tankbeurtje saves it sometimes, but overall I sit between 6 and 6.5 liters per 100km. You are driving consumption helps, I do not belong to the category of people that make the news with their irritating efficient (extremely slow;)) driving but walking rarely fines.

The VDO navi does its job well, though it is not trouble-free. So he goes back a day to check if something is wrong and to see if there might be what can be improved. Finally, I have to retrofit an audio extension other than the standard Honda, with a handsome compo kit and a subkist in the trunk and after a while nothing. I'll see if rear speakers have meaning, the sub sound is certainly sublime - despite the battery and the back seat.
PROBLEMS

-> VDO navi / media center sometimes freezes, music does not play well or displays black image. Goes back to research.
Tjah, it started so beautiful ... (125.000 km)

Meanwhile I'm already looking forward to a successor to the HCH. I currently have mixed feelings about my car - on the one hand I know that as a lease rider can barely cheaper driving around in a car of this class, on the other hand I am always faced with some nasty spots:

- fuel soar out. The values I got were nowhere to be between 10,000 and 80,000 km. Very inefficient, even when aware and relaxed driving. 7l / 100km has become the rule rather than the exception. Once 6l / 100km.
- Rattles: in the door, dashboard, etc arise rattles. Dealer can / will do anything about it.
- Headlight always went out dealer knows of lights, but I ended injected harness with contact spray and now he does it again.
- Mickey Mouse suspension; if you're in with 4 people each transverse ridge reason for a big beech tree in the travel stops. Unpleasant, to say the least.
- Meanwhile, he also begins to consume oil, so much that I can fill approximately 10.000km a liter of oil after a turn on. Will once again it's asking if this is normal, my old Civic 1.5i from 96 "never needs oil at the time, even when there> 200k was on the counter.

And in my case, the annoying VDO navi also a drama. Even after repeated new software etc. it remains a sensitive thing. Where the Pioneers at other HCH owners are torn out of life, thieves have my navi sit. Das then the only benefit - apparently they know how worthless he is;)

Fuel consumption is a reason for my employer to do the HCH banned, so there will anyway not yet. Now search for a worthy successor, a mark where the likelihood of rattles is a lot smaller.
