Looking for a car I hesitated between some cars. So I thought of a VW Pasat, or Jetta, Mercedes C-Class or a BMW 3 Series. Actually, I always wanted to again drive a third series, but I bought every time something else. Now I finally bought a BMW 3-Series in 2005 with only 55,000 on the clock, unfortunately, have the car turned out to be for the time being not yet delivered made after a test drive. In the garage I agreed that I was free to look further.
Then I am the next day to look at a VW Passat 1.4 TSI and became convinced of this car on the spot. Benefits of the Passat compared to the BMW 3 series for me were: Lower price, paddles behind the steering wheel, you will see on the display which gear is the machine, some other extras. So I bought a VW Passat and thought based on previously very good experiences with VW to buy a piece of German engineering. Unfortunately, this was not the case when I heard a rattle in the engine and the DSG bin began increasingly to stand against me. You feel that this is a semi-automatic, the DSG is a box where you should go to policies, otherwise you'll drive away with it if you've got your first driving lesson.
The rattle bore me anyway a lot of worry and I decided after many stories about TSI have read problems to bring the car towards the garage. Here I was then told that the car could not drive more meters and that perhaps was more than one month of the delivery of the parts. A car 5 years old who maybe had long stood still I found frankly ridiculous. I then decided to do just to look to sell the VW Passat and buy back a BMW 3 Series.
The Passat would go away, and a BMW 3-series, or just maybe a 5-series was coming back a fact for me, with regard to the 3-series I hesitated only be between a 320i or a 325i (6 cylinder). In addition, I had like i drive had in, but I really wanted a clean car with low mileage. On the internet I saw my current BMW. A 320i, executive performance, unfortunately without i-drive, but with very low mileage, but still decided to go look.
On the phone said the seller though that it was a car that looked like new, the first sight was immediately clear that here was no word lied about. The car was hardly polished and yet he looked like new. I believe quite unique for a black BMW, because I have a lot of cars seen in this color surely was seriously scratches.
After a night sleep over it bought the BMW. A day later, the Passat with considerable loss unfortunately sold back to the garage where I had bought it. What this BMW is a fine car. Very stiff, which certainly is also caused by the relatively flat tires, but what a ride and what this engine runs fine for a 4 cylinder. The car drives really like he's new and now again about 2000km driven it in two weeks. Very enjoyable kilometers I can say. What struck me especially compared to the VW Passat, the quietness in the steering wheel, directional stability and huge handling. The car tends to oversteer, but you have to make it very colorful to get him. He is correct quite easy again.
Disadvantages over the Passat are also there. Fuel consumption: The BMW drives about 1 to 11/12 and the Passat 1 to 15. In addition, the power at the bottom of the BMW less than the Passat which was equipped with a turbo. The cruise control and the lever of the direction I really have to get used to, but now this problem is behind us. All in all very happy with my purchase!
During the search for a new leased car often read the user reviews on car week. I hope this review will help the reader a little further.
After three years and 210000k on the counter of the Mondeo was time for a new car lease. In my head I had already picked out a Volvo and I hesitated between the V50 (Still a beautiful model) and the V60.
The V50 was dropped because it is not a space miracle. However, all the comfort and luxury of a big car but no space. With the V60 I did not know it yet. It really is another Volvo and the design you should just lie.
The neighbor, who has been riding for years Volkswagen, pointed me to the new Passat. After several test drives and detailed reading through reviews :) has become the Passat.
The Passat is equipped with the following options:
- Executive Premium package
- Pareleffectlak Deep Black
- Black upholstery with black floor and gray sky
- Navigation RNS 315 + Flashcard Western Europe
- Chrome roof rails
- they and reverse 35% tinted
- Towing
Exterior
terms of color combinations fell the range of colors in the Passat against me. For me there were three options, Deep Black, Grey Island and Mocca-anthracite. Gray dropped out because something much green / blue in it. Anthracite I find very beautiful but Brown stood against me. Black is almost always good and now as I see him standing there, I'm happy with that "safe" choice. The wheels are standard 16-inch wheels Perugia.
Interior
The Comfort line is equipped with a great outfit. I did the last time many interiors seen the inside but Volkswagen is very good. Fine materials and no sense of cheap plastic. Set the standard seats are good. Perhaps sports seats the best option in this car.
Engine
The 1.6 TDI works very well. I had the idea that 105 hp for such a big car would be too tight but that is not so. May well along in the Dutch road traffic. Shifting is smooth, the engine reacts really fast and is spicy enough. Of course it is always harder and faster just to catch up with this car at speed is fine.
Trip computer
The dealer congratulated me upon delivery because I was one of the first users with a Dutch-board computer. The menu is clear and the software responds quickly. Control via buttons on the steering wheel is ideal. Just read through the manual because you can do a lot with it.
The RNS 315 as navigation.
The leasing company had indicated that a Navilock should be placed where there was chosen for a RNS 510. No appetite and opted for the RNS 315. Advance the read on the internet that the actuality of the cards would be off putting but on delivery I received the most new release, March 2011. I live in a fairly new neighborhood with lots of new streets and neatly on the map. Routes are calculated quickly.
The RNS 315 as a radio / multimedia center.
The RNS reacts super fast on all orders. You flashes quickly through the menu. I connected a HD on the Multimedia box and now possess all the music I want to listen. Do have a little challenge with the playback of the music on the screen, but I have the impression that it lies on the HDD.
Phone preparation Premium.
Ideal. Works great with the computer and the holder for the phone is neatly hidden in the armrest. Here too the operation via the steering wheel works perfectly.
Update
The Passat went to Berlin and that is us really liked. Motor goes very well along on the autobahn and 195+ does he effortlessly. Comfortable and quiet. No issues.
Update (7,560 km)Meanwhile ridden 7500km and with great pleasure.
It remains anyone notice how quiet the car is. On the highway you quickly throw him in sixth gear and then you hear the engine no more.
I also laugh from everyone with the huge trunk and cargo space. Since I do not have a spare tire, the vacant space also provides even more storage.
The only thing that bothers me is that when it rains heavily easily water from the roof getting inside the car when you need to take a little longer open the door. But I think that is a problem that the pastors have.
Furthermore, no problems.
End of Lease Contract (185.000 km)After four years of fine car returned to Alphabet Carlease, then ride off into the successor of the Passat, a new B8.
The car has done very well. Comfort was good, the space in this amazing cars and a 1.6 with 105 hp emotionally much power. When someone drove, and I indicated that there are "only" a 1.6je in the front sitting with around 100 horsepower was surprised reaction. No, this car can motor right along in traffic. Too often allowed to drive on the German autobahn and no issues.
