The first 5000 km on it and i actually wanted my business more findings to share with you

The first 5000 km on it and i actually wanted my business more findings to share with you, but I understood that at least some of you there not so much waiting. The Fabia, now called by some Woodstock, has for the first 5000km driven an average of 1:20. Neat right ?, especially considering the high speed testing to discuss below. The solid impression of the car after delivery I can only underline. A car in this class, I did not expect all.

Compared to the Polo cruise control was getting used to. When you which expands as to what speed without brakes to slow down and then want to travel to the preset speed, only two small need for vingerbeweginkies is very cozy at the accelerated rate while it was considerably more aggressive in the Polo. To live with you definitely know that your pastor does not feel like sitting on his heels. Not understanding, I think that when you rewind or turn up remains activated cruise. One downshift to lose more speed than in the higher position and then again extra care to accelerate is thus ruined.
Oh yeah, I remember the retrofit of the hands.

Neatly at the agreed time the technician was there in the parking lot of my workplace. Put the hands neatly behind the dashboard. I there I think (perhaps just as always) what looked awkward, I was given a detailed demonstration of how some things worked. Yes, eventually I managed to answer an incoming call handsfree, however ... there was no retaining frame off my phone and I was still manually kl # as if I myself had to call someone. So to b # LC # m along with some irm @ @ iles bought a vent holder (no - even though I came out of the closet - not a Dutch guy but an English guy). There is now off my phone and then into. Exactly easy going call itself a pity not bring enough. So fill itself but in what a point I give to the service and delivery.

On the inside I was positive in my earlier findings, but I need some time to make a comment here. As you may recall, I rather burly teenage boys. Then you're waiting father until there some young chicks to come off. Well who did not come until two weeks ago, such a young girl came unexpectedly falling from the blue sky. Literally and figuratively. The sweet girl we picked up at Sch # ph @ l and on the way to Drenthe were the two lovebirds, of course, in the back seat. Yes, when the front passenger seat had to be a little forward. But I heard they do not complain, but I heard they do something else. Uhh ... not fill too much yourself, here it comes.

What also played for two very good was that at 130 it was so quiet in the car that they could whisper sweet things to each other, so I unfortunately could follow any of it. And now something other than soft words, hard figures. Since we are car fanatics crazy. Very important is the speed that specified should amount to about 182 km. Although I'm trusting, and you have about each test so you at least have something to this review, I found it - Woodstock before I wanted to chase the wind beneath the wings - for calling my reassurance require higher relief. With a quiet corridor of 140 through 31 to the German pilgrimage town Heede (you can also do something yourself so google but what, and then you find that there is also the thickest tree in Europe). After I lit a candle for Woodstock (that is quite right in his uppie), I really dared him only to give the wings. If unfortunately something go wrong, well, then I knew I would be fine right through that candle.

Female / Male what did that repeatedly raft at that speed. Nothing wrong with that. In order to provide a truly reliable measurement for you I could join the hoopla, and I reached the summit several times to notify you when real average 181 km / h. Even at that speed Woodstock not beat its wings and chasing everything was very stable.

The deviation counter is also very me with a deviation of about 5 to 50 km / h which rises slowly to 8 to 80 km / h, to 10 to 130 km / h and then surprisingly remain substantially constant. Actually a pity because on your screen to 200 km / h to see appear seems pretty funny now that cijfertje got no further than 193 km / h. Who do remember sitting there in the coming years some space up into as Woodstock has already fanned his joints. A disadvantage of such in the Netherlands highest illegal speeds that Woodstock quickly as cumin cheese will look like, and he also gets to the weekly bath of me (so you have with this color much more work than with 50 shades of gray car).
Speaking of the screen, go back, relax, because there's really thought about it. I suspect that many hours have been spent to invent something (on) meaningful.
I think I can speak for the majority of men and must say that we are impressed rather quickly visually (as I fall on a nice back) appreciate but also unexpected content, and unexpected content now delivers exactly the Green Drive screen (attached a picture).
As you can see shows which screen on the left a green leaf as well as a bar chart (sorry I you bad memories about high school from your gray cabinet pull) indicating the Green Score. Of course this is a value for how clean you are driving and you understand that the display was a black hole on the German Autobahn, even the green leaf was totally a black withered. Which by the way is very exciting is that the green leaf at 80 in 5 gets a stalk, as you do it anyway!
But my biggest surprise, however, was that you have to lose weight by increasing the screen. Yes really. I've already lost two kilos in just five weeks. No, not because I now that are not unattractive, to keep feeling young motorist've also met a physical distraction, and not because it is heavy work in Woodstock, on the contrary. I think it's just such a thing look like on TV sports. Indeed, recent research still said that your brains also get active and that alone watching affects your body and therefore consume little calorie.
And yes, that bar chart reminds me of the screens of all that torture in fitness schools. The higher the bar, the more resistance you have to perform and the more you burn. This screen calls so, at least to me, through visualization physical activity. As you can see from all the numbers in the picture, I make it now while driving that the rods are as high as possible (since my Corvette, I apparently changed a lot), but I get at it driving nice pounds lost .
My individual research is obviously not a double-blind study that is representative of a sample under a statistically relevant number of participants, so you should all be here for other readers to work to support my findings or disprove. Make sure all while driving that you stick is as high as possible, and if it fails to give a green leaf stalk. If you also lose weight than Skoda can make only one in the car business advertising within a few weeks for a car that makes you lose weight while driving, so maybe nothing more unattractive are young sentient women stepping into a Fabia, preferably mine because there the effect demonstrated with irrefutable, even on the front seats.
I realize suddenly that sometimes that young green leaf might lie, which looks fresher when you take it easy. As an older man you visualize a young green leaf perhaps a physical activity that can rise above your current, allowing your heart rate gets up to speed in the red zone and can therefore only lose all the weight. Whether it's the two weekly wash my kilos fly off?
All in all, a solid car that exceeds my expectations. Let me again hear from me after my first turn, maintenance understood.
To avoid any connections with commercial products, above are some names written something else. I can assure you that the objective of this review is guaranteed.

Packages (which really is not?) Sports package, Simply clever package, Rain-beam assistant, Winter package, Driver Activity Assistant; Front Assist; SGI Phone and Tech package, PDC, Panoramic roof, and black 16-inch wheels from MAK.

Well, here I am with a review about a Skoda. Who would have thought that I would ever start, yes both of which Skoda as this review.

At first glance a list of the cars that I have allowed to wear: Peugeot 304; Renault 5 (3x), and 9 Twingo; Volvo 340 / S40; Corvette (1976 jaja red); BMW 320/318; Audi 80; Opel Vectra / Zafira; Ford Galaxy; Toyota Aygo, Yaris, Auris, Verso (2x); Honda Civic; VW Polo.

Oh yeah, and I'm even more motorcycle BMW F650 / F800ST; Harley Davidson Nightster 1200; Honda Hornet 600; Yamaha XJ6; Triumph Tiger 800 XC.

Why now a Skoda?

You hear a lot about the brand, reliable, lots of space, and reasonable price. But look ??
Who dares to sit still after a Corvette and Harley in a Skoda ?? And also to get another for out (of the closet) ??

By this, I therefore.

It is a leasje. Actually, I wanted the new lease already last year, and I would like a Seat Leon ST 14% liked, but nothing lease last year it came in. Long story (I have a lot of it), but this time I omitted here.
You read this anyway to know what now is so special about the Skoda, and why there would have to step in.

So the new leases had this year.
I'm meeting a maximum budget for myself, of course I'm going to see all 14% for 2015.
Ben (single) father of three children (and always in the democratic minority) who keep me pretty much under the thumb (one of 1.90, one who practices powerlifting, and one that really is the puberty, so you are a bit more cautious as dad). Which must therefore without grumbling can sit in the back.
So the new lease should be spacious, also on the second row. Because I can not lease convertible headroom must be sufficient otherwise I get folded by the two. I also want to be driving a very sweet dog who likes to drive to a fen to there just to pull a job and then again convenient and delicious soaked in the trunk back home to be transported.
So a drive is already better than a Polo.
And should the boss be a diesel, I still drive quickly around 50k per year.

Briefly, there was little about: what next Citroens, a cliotje, a cactusje, a peugeotje there was little to 14%.
Do it all inside and outside views, and they all fell away. All much too small on the second row, on the cactus after (which was somewhat), but at the Cactus is my sweet dog, she's ten, only with a roltrapje in the trunk.

Up to 20% with a maximum price. Then there were not really many cars at a Dacia, Ibiza, Fabia and Rapid.

Well the new Skoda Fabia Combi that attracted me. The new one was not yet in the showroom, but the pictures showed a much better appearance than the 'old'.
Of course the old subjected to a thorough investigation, which was indeed proof and teen friendly. The dealer and the reviews assured me that the new one was just as good.

But what I really won over was the color that was possible with the Fabia Combi.

Sprint Yellow.

Now I have reached the age where I should know where Abraham takes away the mustard (with the emphasis on "might"), but - just as a midlife crisis - have me decide to buy the Fabia Combi at Sprint Yellow.
Then what?

Yellow and red are my favorite color and why your car may not be your favorite color?

Look around on the highway, almost all 50 shades of gray. Sad is not it?

Sorry ladies (and men) are not related to the erotic contents (in that respect I am more a tabula rasa, but that's a long story. Besides just a dodge, there should a not unattractive, feeling themselves young woman .. uhh, I have to content, it is about the Skoda) of the cars, but quite literally the color of the cars that you encounter: 50 shades of gray. You can not tell me that silver or gray, the favorite color of all those people?

If you have come this far, the Skoda Fabia was ordered on January 7, 2015, and was lucky about 8 to 10 weeks time coming. Exciting though, that wait !?

After 8 weeks I've been down here at the dealership. "Strange," which said, "there is still no production week in the schedule." As it turned out, an interior shortlist which was ordered under the provisional extras paste no longer in the sport seats. The importer did not need found there earlier contact on record. Well, what do you do after a long search (20 seconds, about as long as foreplay) select an appropriate interior list and ordered immediately.
Again I was 8 weeks in full expectation.
And once again to the dealer because I heard nothing.
"K # T" who (or something) said, "the supplier of the panorama roof can not meet the demand. Manufacturing Week will probably week 22, so you have the Fabia 2 weeks later.

Well, patience is a virtue, but those teenagers mine were so gradually be rebellious. the dear old dog of mine could now mine or at the back of the polo and did not have to stand out more in the trunk.

Finally, was the Fabia week 24 at the dealership and saw I that the ball was mounted underneath.
Really a picture with that color (I think), maaaaar ...
own fault thick hump, I should not have bought so many extras ... Yeah, I hear you thinking some women, men with all their gadgets .

There was the wrong radio without handsfree (bluetooth ®). Yes, I really need, though I am not a caller and I love you more in-depth face-to-face conversation also held in Dutch may be.

my dealer, Wim, hot which is a good guest, who could not help it. does the car delivered on 3 July (my 20,000 far "day" day), and called himself pleurisy to each other get it sometime next week handsfree gedoetje comes in. With any luck, the car is complete. But wait.

So to make a long story even longer, the delivery is downright been a disaster.

However, although I've only 500km, I can already say that the Fabia was well worth the wait.

Sports seats are perfect engine is spicy enough, and makes less noise than the Polo.

Suspension is a well-balanced, hard enough for smooth cornering and absorbs bumps and barriers in the Drentsche roads perfectly. Will on longer journeys have been pleasant, but I will let you know.

Pairing is anything used to, picks up very quickly, but give me a little back the Corvette feel. Switching is perfect, you do not need to put too much power but you know immediately that it is all right.

Dashboard is terribly tidy and uncluttered, slightly less upbeat than the color of the Fabia, but such a polished interior frame fits well with my graying hair. All switches and buttons feel very solid on, can only say hats off.

Good driving position is easy to find with adjustable steering wheel and seats. From the driver's seat visibility around the car very good. Side mirrors are nice and big and do not deform and left and right to look backwards gives sufficient visibility. If hiccups are to call something small rearview mirror, you get exactly but precisely in the rear, as much as 10% more of me; and the storage compartment in the armrest is just enough for a spectacle case. The polo there were two, well at my age you see sometimes not so good anymore and you do need some optical devices.

PDC and Front Assist works well, I naturally had to test first to make sure that it also works when I really needed.

Audio (2 additional rear speakers), even the adoption of my daughter carry away (21 Pilots lover) and my golden oldies (like Welcome To The Machine) may once again assured the USB stikkie.

My longest son can sit behind me without me having to push forward the driver's seat and his style remains completely untouched and the panorama gel-free. What fold by concerns burly sons, the Fabia I give the sixth star Euro NCAP. Which car do the Fabia after ???

Well, and of course the animal lovers are anxiously what my sweet dog (a cute Eurasier) now the Fabia. Boarding for its pleasantly low, the tow is not a problem when entering or exiting the area and has surprised her. She can run and even lie down. No, you can not hondenuitlaatservice start as part-time job, no four / five dogs to save together your C7 fast, but there is enough space for a second dog, maybe that is not unattractive, are young sentient wife

We do it in stages starting with the first experiences with this particular car

We do it in stages starting with the first experiences with this particular car. I will add afterwards remain experiences. Like many 'inspired' by the large tax benefit but go test drive again. Interior is uniquely designed with a high-tech flavor. A lot fresher and more refined than the interior of the Golf V who drove until recently, but again comparable with the C4 which is also several years has been in our possession.

The car drives differently than other cars. It's minimal, but it is noticeable that there is something between the bedalen and engine - IMA technology sometimes gives the impression that after giving (the throttle) of a signal as a group have to wait so it really happened. Annoying? No, just anticipation.

Then you arrive at the traffic light and the engine goes from here. Delicious that rest, let the brake and the car is ready to move. This also costs a fraction of a second, yet you often leave earlier than the rest. Linking / costs also include switching time.

The speed is sufficient. Especially above 80 you notice that he is doing well in the "DRIVE mode, but not as a way rocket sprint. Sport mode gives a little more speed, but is associated with more engine noise. Among the 80 are you surprised at the speed; the CVT automatic transmission is a continuously variable system, so you lose nothing by switching moments. Bit timers for other road users, I find myself having to hold out if the car in front of me is the upshift.

Due to the favorable weight distribution (light front engine, battery back) zooms the Civic comfortable through long bends. Short turns gives some inclination, but with the 16 "wide 205 tires that I let you assemble here less problems than the standard 15 below eco-straps you get there.

Equipment is fine, standard, there is a lot of the following options you can consider:
- rims (see picture, 't help properly)
- leather (post gives more color choice and no compensation)
- Navigation (even ex-factory, but in the dashboard)

there is audio package, xenon, parking sensors, body kits, etc, etc to get.

Update 18-3-2008:
The consumption is all that back, driven by 3,000 km. The board computer keep it at 1: 14.5, but if I the liters against the mileage expandable I come more close to the 1: 16.5 to 1:17. Still I drive the speed limit, but a few times harder than that. I have the impression that the car on BP euro 98 (Ultimate) does not drive well, he comes across some jerky. Regular euro 95 is fine otherwise.
+ Extra foto'tje

Update 23-7-2008:

A few more weeks and he goes for his first (small) turn. There are therefore already nearly 20.000km again. Consumption will not go back, I keep stabbing at an average (since the beginning) of 6,5liter per 100km, 1: 15.3 so. By tankbeurtje saves it sometimes, but overall I sit between 6 and 6.5 liters per 100km. You are driving consumption helps, I do not belong to the category of people that make the news with their irritating efficient (extremely slow;)) driving but walking rarely fines.

The VDO navi does its job well, though it is not trouble-free. So he goes back a day to check if something is wrong and to see if there might be what can be improved. Finally, I have to retrofit an audio extension other than the standard Honda, with a handsome compo kit and a subkist in the trunk and after a while nothing. I'll see if rear speakers have meaning, the sub sound is certainly sublime - despite the battery and the back seat.
PROBLEMS

-> VDO navi / media center sometimes freezes, music does not play well or displays black image. Goes back to research.
Tjah, it started so beautiful ... (125.000 km)

Meanwhile I'm already looking forward to a successor to the HCH. I currently have mixed feelings about my car - on the one hand I know that as a lease rider can barely cheaper driving around in a car of this class, on the other hand I am always faced with some nasty spots:

- fuel soar out. The values I got were nowhere to be between 10,000 and 80,000 km. Very inefficient, even when aware and relaxed driving. 7l / 100km has become the rule rather than the exception. Once 6l / 100km.
- Rattles: in the door, dashboard, etc arise rattles. Dealer can / will do anything about it.
- Headlight always went out dealer knows of lights, but I ended injected harness with contact spray and now he does it again.
- Mickey Mouse suspension; if you're in with 4 people each transverse ridge reason for a big beech tree in the travel stops. Unpleasant, to say the least.
- Meanwhile, he also begins to consume oil, so much that I can fill approximately 10.000km a liter of oil after a turn on. Will once again it's asking if this is normal, my old Civic 1.5i from 96 "never needs oil at the time, even when there> 200k was on the counter.

And in my case, the annoying VDO navi also a drama. Even after repeated new software etc. it remains a sensitive thing. Where the Pioneers at other HCH owners are torn out of life, thieves have my navi sit. Das then the only benefit - apparently they know how worthless he is;)

Fuel consumption is a reason for my employer to do the HCH banned, so there will anyway not yet. Now search for a worthy successor, a mark where the likelihood of rattles is a lot smaller.

Initially fell outside the interior and exterior a number of things, such as the nimbleness of the car and the odd steering

One and a half years and I'm 40. To be my midlife, I decided - after long and careful reading - now already to buy a new car. I decided not to worry about the "running costs". So what, ride should be an experience, not a cold calculation. I wanted sportiness, style, luxury and a bit unusual (yet that midlife ?!).

It was a Jaguar XJ6 in 1995. A X300 with the 4-liter engine, with 106.000km on the clock. Is a gentleman from Berg en Dal been, him, as I have been told, little rode. I was therefore advised to ride in the car quiet again ...

I've done the last 2000km. And am seriously in love. He drives smoothly ... I compare it with the comfort Citroen CX, without it makes me seasick. The car can quickly (my son loves the sport mode ...), but does not encourage speeding. Just nice and quiet acceleration and enjoy the flexibility.

The car is now in the garage. The perfectionist in me a list drawn up for improvement. I want to have this car include completely beautiful. Everything that is done, to work for the ultimate pleasure.

What are they up to? My hand brake does not work. Should fixed. The arm rubbers are, which makes for a thumping sound to rear direction. I can not fix. Also some electrical issues I want to see addressed - my memory seat, putting my seat, mirror and steering wheel settings in the correct position, it does not. Here and there some lights and a malfunctioning remote control.

All does not spoil the fun. It is my daily driver and I have great confidence after the 2000km that he will do this nicely.

After extensive test drives last year looking for a new lease machine for my friend there were many cars down, or because of the worse equipment / handling characteristics either because of the (lease) price. The C4 was initially a bit of a concession between equipment and affordability, aided by an acquaintance at the dealership.

Initially fell outside the interior and exterior a number of things, such as the nimbleness of the car and the odd steering. It took quite some time to get accustomed to the feel of the steering, the separate construction of the art (the center of the steering wheel does not move with the steering wheel), the device intuitively indirectly (I used an Audi, where the steering is very accurate direct).

After a few weeks (my girlfriend drive it every day, I only private) used to be, I began to appreciate the car more and more. In addition to the gadgets (digital screens, various useful functions, such as a speed limiter -> posed if you completely depress your accelerator (you feel that there is a button underneath) the car drives really sublime, the handling is tight but comfortable (! you can painlessly any threshold without brakes take actually) and the car responds very effectively to braking and steering applications. the engine is very quiet for a diesel, currently also proves new Volvo S40, but it took a while before we were using under 1:20 the cold weather in combination AC / files sent a consumption 1:19, meanwhile we drive. 1: 21 ~ 22!

a winter in the infamous week which in the south of Germany has snowed us car do cherish. a journey of 20 hours by a snowstorm and hold snow on the road and the car can support various features such as ESP has been no time in his path and gave immediately when a limit was reached. Obviously, many modern cars are safe and reliable in these situations, but it surprised me how easily we roadholding could continue our journey (60 ~ 70km / h), while most were with snow chains on the go or were sleeping by the side! The next time we do consider snow tires.

We were after getting the car (tjah, leased cars 'get') faces pessimism from the area, the car would rattle, are unreliable and poor (go) away. After almost 42,000 km in a year, nothing rattles, the car had no problems and the thing runs like new. So we are particularly fond of this car, both the design and the technology!

Preference was discussed between a BMW E36 318 cabrio or a Saab Convertible

Here often read reports for car purchase. And the initial purchase is special. I have my girlfriend nicely lit with auto virus. Did we ever have a Rover 216 convertible was eventually succeeded by a Peugeot 106 1.1 Sport. Yellow and super economical! However, no 'fun factor'! That resulted that I increasingly saw our driveway with the absence of my BMW 530d. Thus I could with the canary to work.

What we like. And that question the cabriolet came as an answer. Then what are the terms of a convertible as 2nd car? This had to have cream leather, clima, heated seats, reasonable full rear seats, parking sensors and a tow bar. No 6 cylinder (BMW and Jaguar XJ car hobby both gnomes 6) but an economical (ahem) 4 cylinder.

And so the 106 was put on sale and sold within 24 hours. The copper deposit was doing and gave the car to be needed only in a week. Absolutely great.

Preference was discussed between a BMW E36 318 cabrio or a Saab Convertible. And Saab, we found yet more class and the BMW gave a lot of problems with the cap on. So looking for a Saab Convertible. And I got one in sight. An Italian Import and stood in Rijswijk. Full Story knocked and was planning to have the phone after a deal to go to Rijswijk. From nearby Assen is riding two and half hours. But the evening before gave the seller that he had sold the car. Bit unfortunate this. Saturday still filled by viewing some Saabs. Stood alone in Zwolle. Was a machine, ran 175.000km and was a 2.3 type 900. But this car would not start and finally I was itself to tinkering to get the car to the course when I realized halfway through the job; '' what am I doing'' . So here departed and then to 2nd Exloermond. There was a 900 more dead than alive. Also, we could not test drive because he was suspended ...

So we go home. The whole trip made me realize that I missed the 530 pretty haha. On the net and came two options at a 94'r upgraded 9-3 in the Saab 9-3 2.0 Turbo dealer or from a private individual. Nota Bene 10 km from here. And the latter had really any options to hitch to it. And the tow bar is preferred because my girlfriend works at the hospital and the car will park at the city's edge and from there go to work dr. But here were an original afkopelbare Saab Towing.

The seller profiled as a very reliable man, was 2nd owner and separation was about this car. Ridden test in the rain, mechanic had it in conjunction with vendor, discussed the price I would almost make the deal. But we did it thanks yet untested. And what turned out it did not work. But the seller showed himself again sporting and gave it the Saab dealer had to solve. It happened.

After 2 weeks, picked up the car with a properly functioning roof.

My girlfriend is totally enamored of the Saab. I got my BMW and she eagerly awaits the spring.

What is now made to the Saab?

- Solid repaired 3rd brake light
- Set of winter tires on steel rims bought. Because it's all Opel technique I could as Opel Wheels for shopping here.
- Align. Pulled to the right
- Roof was a little green tinted it completely treated and addressed.

What should I do?

The CD changer refuses any cooperation. Rise in doubt replace it or to read out at Opel dealer with Tech2. But in the meantime also learn a Saab Specialist. Think I'll soon go there.

Boxes indicate poor quality of sound. I'll have to figure out how I loshaal which caps. Recently I was here '' test '' in a 9-3 demolition but that was loose and kept loose. So there another trick should be. Then replace the boxes.

Dashboard Lights is out thv tachometer. For that I have to get completely loose the dashboard in order to tackle the out unit.

PDC did not work. This made working again.

What drives the Saab?

Consumption is disappointing. For a four cylinder can be called consumption high. 1 8/9 is the rule rather than the exception. Although the reviews and tests that confirm, I expected lower consumption. My Jaguar XJ LWB includes a 4.0 engine is more economical but that aside.

Furthermore, it is almost impossible to find yourself driving a convertible when the hood is closed. Well if crosswind then you take it but not hear negative. The 2.0 Turbo will get along with today's traffic. And the many options that work all the SE. It's a car of 1998!

Even in winter (the few days we have had frost) the car behaves fine.

Recently had an appraisal for insurance uivoeren which went out very positive.

Update 218.945km

Complaint by my other half that consumption was so high eighth they had resigned themselves to. However, I still had wild on a night out all the stops and made more common than they were already. And see what it produces.

Furthermore, had to deal with a small collision. A lady just drove her license "blind'achteruit with disabled PDC. That it was off, it was never expected. Saab received a 'kiss' left. Due fender, bumper, right, pull

Insurance Issue so soon to damage business.

Cars become partially painted and repaired. Take a Hyundai as replacement vehicle.
Update (222 114 km)Saab is fun and still fun! My girlfriend is with her mother on holiday in their own country. She would go with the convertible but finally captured the BMW Touring because of the space. I saw my chance to address some things. The aircon was not very cold when it should. An Opel dealer has an offer running for Eur 70, - topping and additional work for the air conditioning. Also, I replaced the radio cassette radio CD. There was one in combination with a CD changer. By Tech 2 happen I got stuck again. Now I had an original radio CD that could be linked. So the old faashion CDs can be played again.

But because the BMW on holiday I had the Saab needed for the trailer. And I doubted but according to the paper, as there are quite a bit behind so I hang a day driving around with a tandem axle.

I bought this car from a friend of my brother. Was this a volkswagen I've had a month. The car turned out to be quite good and I'm brought back to the car dealer. Anyway row now with a lot of fun in the wave. The car is delivered with new tires new MOT and new pads. The car is always well maintained and the timing belt is replaced at 110,000 km (now 146 763 KM) I also think that switches the car nice and forwards. average I drive about 540km with a full tank
Radiator Heater (150 112 km)

I had the ventilation system switched on position 4 of a sudden makes one thing very loud buzzing sound. One day later, he did not. Did it declared to the garage and a new kachelradiotor ordered. This week will put a new radiator.
Turn (158 254 km)

Vehicle has trouble starting especially if the car has been stationary for a few days. Have then entered the garage. they are checked and the spark plug wires should be replaced.

After obtaining my license had to even get a car. Internet monitor and look at local dealers. Originally always at the local Ford dealer with full satisfaction. The whole family drives almost all of a Ford. When a Family car maintenance to the garage had stood a beautiful Panther Black Ford Focus 1.8 Trend. Privacy glass and 18 "wheels. Been from a friend that had good care. Few kilometers made for his age. Test drive weekends and proceeded to buy. You can as an 18-year-old started worse
Year maintenance (107 345 km)Maintenance and MOT. For the annual MOT and maintenance, he goes to the local Ford dealer. She consulted me a big turn on. Because it was already 5 years and 50,000 km ago.

1st year (95 167 km)Now a year by car drove around. And it pleases me still good. The MOT carried a small turn. for the rest replacing two tires summer and two winter tires.One less year (117,450 km)It's time for the MOT. The past year has been nothing so much gone no further cost. For the apk everything visually long run and wear points seemed pretty okay. I thought, pretty cheap this year. Unfortunately, the rust devil also had to address this Ford. The subframe and the rear right arm were rejected by rust. This has been repaired and other items addressed precaution. Immediately a low tectyl it. A small turn given a year and we can against them again.

overall experienceThe Ford Focus mk1 is known for its sleek chassis. In practice, this appears to be so. As a youngster I do like speed and nice curves. And that does work with this car. The 1800 engine has enough torque to turn quickly. This engine also on the highway is a pleasure because running low revs at higher speeds. 120km / h with 3000rpm. You find out that this car is very good if you're driving in another car.

Damper, air conditioning broken (113 252 km)The air conditioning compressor is leaking. tried at the garage to make. But he was no longer cold within a week. The costs are quite high, so I let it go at that. You miss the air conditioning quickly with a black car.

Still going strong (138.500 km)Last December, the car is inspected again. It is to replace the entire exhaust because it was leaking in several respects. There is standard maintenance performed by the Ford Dealer. From spring was the time that other rims on coming. 18 "sold and 17" rims bought Duval. In May became the car 16. Normally I drive about 11,000 km per year. This year I have already driven 11,000 in the first half. not been problems in the meantime. He has never leave me.

In connection with a longer commuting distance in combination with a second child have coming up

In connection with a longer commuting distance in combination with a second child have coming up, I decided to buy a car. Initially I started looking for a small, older car. I thought of a Subaru Justy, a Toyota Starlet or something. I have set the budget at € 1,000 for myself. The car must above all through the winter, then the bicycle is perhaps an option.

On the birthday of a family member, I heard from my brother that it had bought another car because his current car was not really good with his 30 to 40,000 kilometers per year. The old car, a Kia Shuma, had become obsolete and could I take over at a bargain price. After some searching on the internet I decided to proceed with the sale. It seems to be a reasonably reliable car.

Compared to my other car, a Skoda Fabia 1.4 16V, the car (on paper) a number of advantages:
- Greater boot;
- Air Conditioning;
- More space in the back seat;
- Half Leather upholstery;
- 1 hp more power :)
- Electric windows rear;
- A towbar true in 1250! kg should be hanged.

The disadvantages are:
- Higher consumption (I expect);
- Higher tax (the car is 40 kg heavier and falls in a higher disk)
- No heated mirrors;
- No board computer;
- No traction control;
- No braking assistant;
- No depth adjustment of the steering wheel.

Seemed all in all this like a fun car to drive a few kilometers. Time will tell which car is finally clear the field: the Kia and Skoda. The first kilometers went fine, everything feels a lot more 'mellow' as the Fabia, but you get used quickly.

To be continued!
He goes tasty (155.000 km)

Der Schummi "as the car is called in everyday language, has survived the winter. On one of the coldest days it was not without problems: the engine started on a cold morning bad and then ran on three cylinders. The garage has just looked and came to the conclusion that the spark plug wires were worn. This had to be solved and thus identical performed a major overhaul. The mechanic noticed that the tires were really worn out and that it was not wise for them to drive through the snow and ice.

So I went looking for a good set of tires. New tires at the tire specialist too expensive to me, but the local "bandensjacheraar 'had four good as new Dunlop SP01's so lie which I acquired for € 150.

I also read purchasing service over the ANWB, so I checked what I get back for this car as I was him. It turns out I get € 450 more than I gave it, there is therefore a negative amortization, or credited!

Anyway, since I bought the car I made the following expenses:

Fuel (average 1 in 11.8) = € 1140.-
Maintenance (including tires) = € 789.-
tax (€ 37 per month) = € 370
Insurance (€ 23 per month) = € 230
Depreciation (€ 1,000 - € 1,450) = € -450.-

so Altogether € 0.25 per kilometer, is pretty much what I expected, and quite reasonable considering the small number of kilometers traveled by car.

What I also notice about the car is that the air conditioning properly takes some power and headroom up front not like.

Furthermore, I intend not to just drive by Shuma, during the recently completed APK gave the judge that the car is still fine shape.
Holiday survived (160,000 km)

As I indicated earlier in this review was the KIA intended as a temporary solution to bridge a busy period. This spring I also planned to get rid of the car. That would be difficult with the summer holidays: the Shuma has a lot of space and is an ideal vacation vehicle. Following the holidays following a period of rebuilding followed by a period of relocation. Subsequently, the winter around the corner and it seems a bit silly right now to sell a (hot) car. Long story short: it is planning to let the car go until spring 2012.

Moreover, the break with the Shuma liked fine, in conjunction with the roof box, there was plenty of room to stow all the stuff. Under a properly weight the car is also fine, at highway speed, he seems to be a little firmer on the road. In terms of maintenance, there is little to report, everything works fine. However, we have twice been that the ball when reversing hit a threshold / pavement: if the car is loaded with eg laminate your brand though.

In terms of cost, the picture is as follows:
Fuel: € 0.142 per km
Maintenance: € 0.058 per km
tax: € 0.035 per km
Insurance: € 0.023 per km
Amortization: - € 0.033 per km

Altogether thus € 0.224 per km, which is an improvement compared to the previous 'measurement'.
Shuma goes Ghana (163.000 km)

After 4 weeks Shuma has stood unused on the sidewalk it seemed prudent to sell him. After placing the ad, I was immediately contacted by an interested party. He had no driver's license, so a test ride was not in it, but the 50% deposit was not a problem and he would pick up the car the next day. I understood that the car was intended for export and would be shipped to Ghana. Incidentally, I have the car even sold a few hundred euro profit, does not seem bad.

After a few months to have shared a car with my wife began to emerge yet again the need to buy a second car. Two jobs combined with small children makes it difficult to do anything with one car.

On the other is drive an expensive hobby, so the second car would have to be a smart investment. My last second car, a Kia Shuma was used as little as possible. That was just as well, because this car was pretty thirsty. The successor should be the best possible complement to our other car, a Skoda Fabia. For myself, I have identified the following requirements:
1) Good combination of space and light weight;
2) Reliable technology;
3) Economical with the fuel;
4) Air-conditioning (the Fabia has not)
5) Towing (the Fabia has not)
6) Sufficient power to pull heavy trailers (IVM removal device + garden);

A car which comes close to all my demands, the Rover 25 / Streetwise. These cars are relatively light, reasonably spacious and are equipped with fuel-efficient diesels. In other words, almost 100% match. However, the search was unsuccessful: Beautiful diesel units with five doors and all the options I want to be as good as not available.

My next victim was the last generation Mazda 626; that I know very reliable cars that also meet all my requirements. While this would probably be the best rational choice given, I can not be enthusiastic about the appearance (and especially on the inside). It reminds me all too much like something my KIA Shuma and I was a little bored ...

Just when I wanted to drop a number of requirements, a fellow with the announcement that he came upon a Seat Leon 1.9 TDI wanted. After some research I found out that this car actually fine would meet my requirements. Moreover, this Leon was ex factory equipped with an ABT chip (132 hp / 270 Nm), so sufficient power. Furthermore Leon falls in weight just below the upper limit of 1250 kg that I had asked. A set of winter tires, a tow bar and sports seats made me even more excited. On forums show the ASV block also pretty robust, so I decided to cut through to the knot.

To be continued!
The assessment (200,000 km)Powertrain

De Leon is fitted with a TDI with a so-called distributor pump, Leons with a more recently built are often equipped with pump spray. The reason that the distributor pump is no longer possible to do with emissions, it is also a Euro 3 engine, no Euro 4. However, once the engine is warm functioning perfectly. It is true that the engine which sounds raw and that is started cold, but that's about it for a few minutes. In terms of characteristic engine has a bit of a double character. On the one hand, which lends itself well to speed quiet (turn at 2000 rpm), but on the other hand there is a lot'porrie' in, from around 2000 rpm. The extent to which the engine is better than the standard engine I do not know (I got the car chipped). All in all I'm very satisfied.

Driving

De Leon is on wide 205/55-R16 tires and combined with the sports suspension and sports seats, it is the perfect car to tear along on twisty mountain roads. The steering is too heavy to what my sentence, but you get used quickly, there is a lot of feeling. The gearbox emotional fog sixth gear: at highway speed makes the engine quite a lot of speed. On the other, it is never necessary to switch back to catch up, which also has its charms.

Equipment

De Leon is not equipped with automatic lighting, automatic wipers, lane-departure warning, heated steering wheel and that kind of stuff, but it has a number of useful options. Such as cruise control, manual air conditioning, a trailer hitch and a trip computer. The only thing I sometimes miss is the blind spot mirror, for example, does have the Skoda Fabia, but you get used quickly. All in all, I have little to be desired.

Space

At this point, Leon scored less. It's all to do fine, but there is also said everything. Before going on vacation with the roof box, which is fine to live with this disadvantage. For example, the legroom for passengers are not very spacious.

Interior

The dashboard stands the test of time well, though the red dashboard lights come on me what dated about. Further strikes me start to be ugly on the door handles on the inside. These are equipped with a kind of rubber-like material and that can look more beautiful. But otherwise everything remains look perfect, even the upholstery.

Safety

For a car in 2002, the Leon very well equipped with safety features. Thus, the car side airbags, ESP, and a limited slip differential (switchable) traction control. This is more than enough for me, because I believe that safety depends mainly on the driver.
The cost (213,000 km)After more than 18,000 kilometers driven, it makes sense to say anything about the cost.

Apart from purchasing the car has cost € 3,052 euros.

This amount is composed as follows:

Fuel: € 1,333 -> 1 on average 18.9
Maintenance: € € 786
Tax: € 735
Insurance: € 198

Depreciation I do not blame them, the car is worth as much as when I him bought, I have not paid too much for.

As follows per kilometer, the picture is:

Fuel: 7.4 cents
Maintenance: 4.4 cent
tax: 4.1 cents
Insurance: 1.1 cents

Altogether therefore € 0.17 per kilometer, which is not covered by me .

Fair to say that I was about 1 in 3 business mileage row, what income entails.

The bottom line is that I have net income for the first 18,000 kilometers of approximately € 2500.-

In the end, so the car will cost me € 550 to 18,000 kilometers, which equates to € 0.03 per kilometer ... there are very few people who imitate me :-)
Maintenance (213,000 km)When I got the car a few things were not in order. As the car started to frost bit hard, the engine is catching on, but that comes with a big cloud of smoke. Except that this is not really socially for the neighborhood, it is not really conducive to life as the EGR valve. It was also good to see that the car was only ever used by one person. The seat adjustment was difficult, the interior was almost fixed and jammed the lock button on the rear control. This seemed to me no business to worry about me directly, so I've just done here nothing.

In APK showed that the right rear door was not open from the inside. Because the Rules writes that "the passenger compartment at all times to open inside should be 'this was a rejection point. To what extent this visit I do not know (there are three doors are in the "passenger compartment" that it can be used), but it seemed to me better to fix this. Altogether this cost me € 134.-.

After 18,000 kilometers was 25,000 kilometers since the car for a (small) turn had been, so I thought it would be time to send the Leon to the garage for servicing. In addition to a heavy rainstorm caused the floor was soaked in the footwell of the driver. The nearest SEAT dealer is also affiliated with the Vakgarege chain and combination I like it. Eventually working there a mechanic to your car that has a lot of experience with that type, but without the associated dealer rates.

Eventually, the following are performed:
- Rectifying leaks (had to do with a seal in the paravaanbak);
- Large turn includes all four filters (air, interior, fuel and oil);
- Replace all 4 glow plugs (to the starting problem is corrected);
- Switch summer to winter tires.

Altogether paid a bill of € 650.- and that seems very reasonable.

The cases I mentioned, incidentally, all resolve itself at the beginning of this piece (seat adjustment, etc.).
Problems with switches (228,000 km)There are passed back 15,000 kilometers, so it's time for an update of the Leon. Incidentally, it was not completely trouble-free kilometers. The first problem arose with the fog lamps. These usually come on when the light switch is pulled slightly. Now, however, they remained steady. The only remedy was to replace the entire light switch at € 162. A few weeks later the light comes from the 'engine failure'. One Seat forum I read that this probably had to do with a faulty brake switch. This was also the case this switch is replaced at a cost of € 53.

Furthermore, I noticed that Leon on the (16 inch) summer tires still drive a lot less comfortable than the (15 inch) snow tires. Because all four tires were worn anyway, I went looking for a set of 15 inch rims + tires. I found a set for € 100 on marketplace with zgan Barum Brillantis two tires. These fall under the ANWB 'recommended good "category, so I dared to gamble or to take. Meanwhile, these rims + tires are fitted and that's fine! I think 15 inch rims absolutely not fit on a Leon.

The garage did at the previous turn all that the brake pads and rotors should be replaced actually. I'm still 15,000 kilometers along drove, but it seemed now surely be time to replace this. This work has been undertaken and Leon slows again as silly. Previous pads have otherwise sit up 140,000 kilometers, the discs were all original!
Not much to say about the Leon. Consumption is always first on 19, whichever is less favorable, then there is always a cause for (snow, traffic, roof box, Autobahn, OID).
50,000 km driven - alternator + collapsed chair (245.000 km)Meanwhile, the 50,000 kilometers since de Leon was purchased. This distance is achieved in less than two years and therefore I have driven more kilometers than I had imagined beforehand.

During the last 15,000 kilometers occurred one problem: while taking a sharp turn 'snapped' something under the hood. At the next corner I noticed that the steering was not working. It was Friday afternoon and I had not planned a lot, so I drove to the nearest branch of an American fast food chain there to await the roadside. The technician confirmed what I thought: Dynamo was worn (broken pulley). There was room in the schedule at the ANWB garage, so they have installed a new (revised) alternator. Incidentally, I have experienced the same thing a year ago exactly with my Skoda Fabia, so this seems to be a typical VAG ailment.

Furthermore, I noticed that the driver's seat now is pretty 'collapsed'. The steel brackets that should keep the filling in place have been keenly felt while driving. If someone has a tip to solve this in a good and cheap way I know. I also love exactly how much the car will cost (and how much he produces), at the next review, I will put it again in a row.
Zuinigheidsrit + New distribution (255.000 km)Since I bought, I tracked the consumption of the car and it rocked the last 12 months between 5.25 and 5.75 l / 100 km. But when I decided to use a roof box + air conditioner with a speed of 130 km / h to drive home from Paris, it increased to 6,03l / 100km, which corresponds to 1 in 16.6. Given the circumstances, I'm over here pretty happy, but my beautiful set was broken. To 'make good' I thought it fun to try to drive as many kilometers on one tank. Coincidentally, I had about 1200 kilometers of mostly highway driving ahead of us, so that was nice. My tactics in urban areas was to roll out as much as possible with the gear in neutral, outside the village, I was mainly found in (and behind) the trucks. According to the trip computer, this resulted every ride in a consumption of 3.9 / 4.0 liters / 100km. After 1186 kilometers, it was really time to find a gas station here appeared that there was finally realized a consumption of 4.33 / per 100 km, or 1 in 23.1. This is in my opinion once again demonstrated that diesels have become slightly more efficient (but more environmentally friendly!) The last 10 years

In addition, it was time to change my timing belt. Because this is a fairly expensive process (compared to the value of the car) it seemed good to the good look to find out. What seems? Bovag garages in the area are a few tens of euros more expensive than the dealer, to reflect:
- Seat Dealer = € 535.- (without pump) / € 627.50 including water pump
- BOVAG garage = from about € 700.-
- Vag Technology = € 569 (including pump)

the best deal I could find was with the firm vagtechniek, but that is not for me next door. Finally decided to carry out the distribution change at the dealership. In addition, it seemed wise to give the air conditioner once a service that had not happened since 2007. A small 200 grams of coolant needed to be added more than there had been removed, I have no idea if this is a lot or a little, but it works (still) fine.
In a previous review I gave to come back to a moment in the cost, but I will save just for the next update.
sold Leon (258.500 km)I sold the Leon after 28 months of service. There are several reasons. Firstly, the car simply as a family car is not the most logical choice: the space in the rear is not huge. Secondly, I use the car less and less for commuting because I can with the bike. Thirdly, I am a little tired of the environmental zones that shoot everywhere like mushrooms from the ground. Fourth, were the tax plan from 2017 in which older diesels duration be no reason to expect that the car would be worth more (so to speak).
Anyway, the Leon is sold for the same amount as what I have paid for. In a previous review, I indicated that I would give an overview of the costs may be useful for people who are considering purchasing such Leon.
De Leon has driven 63,200 kilometers over a period of just 28 months, this translates into the following costs:
Insurance: € 27.- per month, 1.2 cents / km
tax: € 103.- per month, 4.6 cents / km
Maintenance: € 111.- per month, 5.0 cents / km
Fuel: € 162.- per month, 7.2 cents / km

Overall exactly € 0.18 per kilometer and that strikes me actually that bad. What disappoints me is the amount that is ultimately spent on maintenance.

This amount is explained by the fact I got the car maintained, which results in a nice profit from the transaction (such as replacing distribution).

To cut a long story'm sure altogether satisfied with the Leon, I hope the next owner still long pleasure of.

It was a coincidence that came when froze my Astra free this car and I got the opportunity to buy him

It's weird how sometimes run things. Last week was my distribution chain beside my Astra 2.2 and now I drive a known friend of mine. It was a coincidence that came when froze my Astra free this car and I got the opportunity to buy him. I do honestly not like to buy from friends about stuff, especially as regards cars have yet to deal with large amounts and what us even more is the sense. But I know one thing for sure, the feeling I got when I had an opportunity to buy this car was delicious.

The reason for buying a car is made to me for mainly feeling. I had been a lot of cars to look for under € 1000, - and I was really sad. This does not, for anything more than the aforementioned sum if I become owner of this Peugeot 106 1.1 Accent and there the rest of the story begins.

Part 1: http://www.autoweek.nl/autoreview/25359/peugeot-106-accent-11

Part 2: With a firm handshake and know the transfer will only become really attached to me. We drive back to his house and I am now for the first time in the possession of a Peugeot. "Welcome to the club," says his father happy and I am happy that I can fit in. Of course we talk for a while about cars but in the end I have to go to work. I unlock the doors remotely, because yes. This 106 has central locking with remote control. The key is in the ignition and 'tap, rotate' the term as applied to this car. The four cylinder engine begins to make its speed and with my foot but sensitive young clutch I start my new adventure.

At night when I'm done I can not wait to work to go on the road. I drive down the field and my first ride is now. I have to get used to the absence at the bottom of torque, noise, no electric windows, climate control and much more, but mostly no power steering. I miss it all but along the way makes it really not matter because the 106 has a good time and I too. Together we drive on the highway and we sit to enjoy. I drive car and I am blessed.
Almost home, I think of myself that I will just have to practice the emergency. Because that will be quite different in the little one. The exit is completely empty and I'm alone. From hundred stairs I pedal progressively and feel an immediate and strong braking. I'm harder braking and the grip is suddenly gone. No ABS so I need to fix it yourself. Well I just feel this again because now I recognize it again. The car I park at night in the street and wish him a good night.

The past few days I drove 400km and they were saved, no hiccups or bumps. The comfort of the frame is so much larger than that of the Astra. But that comes as no sport is added to it. And that's actually good.

I'm lots of love this car and will keep you informed of developments.
efficient car space (148 284 km)

I now have such a large 5000km further and thought it was time to update the review once.

The 106 takes a really excellent mileage. Since I live close to my work and there just to bike Peugeot is used only for private mileage and these are good distances. Always longer than half an hour. The disadvantage of only private drive the car at times a week at a standstill. But that does nothing to him, in the freezing cold I had only a moment longer need to hold the starter to launch the block. Furthermore, no sweat.

I knew that this car could lose a huge amount when you load a little convenient. But recent months have demonstrated the excellent two mountain bikes, two people, backpacks and a large crate with emergency facilities in suits. In fact, you're still sitting space. You have to pick up the mountain bikes or apart. But more than the wheels do not come off. A doily against the mud (mainly for the idea) and go. In most car parks you see different people even look twice when suddenly two bicycles mounted turned against the proud Peugeotje.

I have no problem still encountered to the 106, he does not kick or punch and drive good. The chairs are the only downside, but not so bad to go.
Oh, I did have today discovered a leak. I left the car a good wash and then I wanted to drive away, I noticed a drop in my arm. Apparently the car is leaking at the water antenna inside (after pressure was turn). I'm of the week here watching. Not so shocking events.

Furthermore, it remains efficient and smooth ride. Because due to its low weight, it is excellent with the traffic and it does not cost much fuel. Which is quite a bit different from the Astra.
The fastest, most economical, space vehicle ever (152 226 km)

It must now allow two months for the little 106 to the judge, but in the meantime he has already put many adventures to his name.

I did not expect that this car would drop such performance. As I probably mentioned earlier have fit easily two mountain bikes with all of that stuff in the trunk, and can pull you still good with two of the country to find out the coolest trails.
What I did not know is that this car really is faster than the Astra 2.2 at the time. Now has nothing to do with power but all traffic. But he does have standing record.
MTB in the trunk, suitcase and pillow there. Then to 2330u full throttle to Berlin and just arriving for 0500u including two long breaks. The first refueling only came out a little late, I missed the first gas station while my light is already a good time seriously burned. Well, 70km further on happily open fuel station and fill up. There was 40 liters, 45 liters went, eventually over 46 liters in the first projected 45 liter tank. An unexpected deep sigh. Oh well, he's full again.
Certainly the last break was a need for it to 2330u leave was not a voluntary choice, I had just finished with the theater and the schedule was the same through. One strike a night, quite spicy with a 106 to 160km / h. The last stop was a doubt whether I would drive by, I tended to fall asleep. But the Peugeot also said to me. Come on, a rest, then another hour. And that was it. After the long break I could, I was a lot more enjoyable driving.

On the way was a different adventure. I was pretty convinced that the exhaust leak was, in fact, there was no doubt about it. On the other hand dragged the pipe after a 200km road to the autobahn which was annoying. Initially called the AA, but I had too little patience and some wire installation quick exhaust after it had cooled, attached. (quite exciting on the shoulder of an autobahn, but good) then secured drove to the torsion bar and quickly to an ADAC garage. I was helped by a friendly German, I would gladly put a metal hose clamp on. So I really do not endanger other cause. This made for € 2 and I was on the road again. The fate into their own hands!

Thus arrived home, buy new pipe and mounted again. Tip, do not buy € 4 Chinese bolts. Which turn destroyed in a moment. Then bought bolts on Peugeot for too much money. But nice 8.8 indication it and that could be tight.

Finally achieved another personal best. Obviously took a gamble by the knowledge of the extensive tank to drive another 125km by the "go now fill" light on. Well I went to refuel after 802,7km and I had about two liters. It was a thrilling ride, but if you learn may recognize the car. Best 106 riders, no worries. If your tank light comes on, you have about 10 liters in the tank.
(I must confess, I have listed all the fluids reserve in my car. Including a jerry can of petrol 10ltr. Of course I'm not crazy.)

Furthermore, the car drives fine and I did not expect this Peugeot took such performance. I knew the story, but experience them for yourself. Great!
Finally (200 040 km)

It's finally happened. Together with a friend, while the previous owner we drive piece. The girlfriend crawls for this time but in the back because the bullshit of all parts, and for her maybe some meaningless adventures lie clearly on the tongue during this ride. But before we are ready to write what this is about, we look like the last ride back here. Because there have been so driven 48.000km and there's quite a few passed. For example, there have been replaced various filters and belts, and has a lot of rubbers can be deposited against the asphalt.

I'm just back to the latter km booth at car week and see there are 152 226 km. Less than 500 kilometers after this position was special surprise on the highway. The locking pin of the gearshift said goodbye namely, it sank a little lower and had to be replaced the pen with a bolt. As well come home. The switch was only fuzzier. Furthermore, it went well. Almost immediately ordered a locking pin. Exit, 10 pieces. Because the dealer sold it per package of 10. But with a total price of € 4.70, I was also not really touched.

Some 2000km further it finally happened. A childhood dream came true, finally the circuit. And a circuit where I have already been a number of times and see what is really the mecca for me for car sport. Nurburgring. With two friends, including of course the previous owner went for a toeristenrit on the ring. I had the car well serviced shortly before and just replace the brake oil. There were also new front tires under. The Dunlop SP Street Reponse. This was necessary last MOT. The Peugeot was ready for it and I did too. Because I really knew every corner of the circuit. We bought a ticket and went to the track and full throttle. I have all 60hp, or the one that is left of his work considerably. And let's not forget the brakes because I really braked just in time for the turns and so we actually raced on the Nurburgring. With a time around 15 minutes we arrived at the finish line. It was a fantastic experience, even for the passengers for that I still tasty's put their nails in the interior.

However, other of the car records were achieved. There is a new record in terms furthest driving on one tank of fuel. The 853.0 km was tapped. Maybe now you expect me was this incredibly proud. Well, there was someone proud and she has beautiful long hair and wears it occasionally with a tail. My dear friend was in fact the same period the designated driver as I had fallen by a somewhat too enthusiastic landing with the downhill mountain bike in plaster. Yes, bad luck. The sweet smile and bizarre saving rate had put my record of 800 aside. But I was patient and made a good attempt to break her record. Some weeks later, it was time and I was going for the win. The goal is, moreover, who is the farthest can drive on one tank without coming fall silent. I had the balls and had the best car. But fortunately I am stubborn and with the misfortune of a file I was still 891 km to dwell on the shoulder. A jerry can and a lot of repetition of 'who has also been the record made us then drive back smoothly to the fuel station. Unfortunately, it failed me below. I had come to 852km. But then had to really fill up. I intend ever to break her record. But until that time.

Furthermore, Peugeot has brought me to great holiday destinations. We have wonderfully drawn by Austria. And as I have already twice again carried out a major overhaul and is obviously replace the outlet again. Now new tires are also under. Dunlop SP2. I drive now about 3000km and find them good, but maybe next time go for something more sportiefs. In the winter I drive with Vredestein Snowtrac 3. Really a super snow tire.

I replaced the timing belt with a friend and have various components.
I love each fuel tank with regard to consumption and so are the costs. The beauty of this is that I immediately see if anything changed or are repeated a particular failure or other strange things. However, this also shows a very cheap car. I will mention at the bottom as much data as possible for the fans.

Then it was the week finally. Yet a few kilometers away and the state passed the 200,000 km. The three of us went on stage purely as a ride to experience this consciously. Do you notice it? To the car, he still drive very well. His last major turn has really paid off. All filter particles and oils delicious fresh. Personally, it does have influence. We know the car since a mileage of 45,000 and since we will pass just two tons is quite a while. And yes, with shouting we pass the magnificent figure and I was very happy. In short, this car still is fun.

Color gris iceland and color you'll frequently encounter many cars PSA but also Xsara's

I've had BX 7 types and six types Xantia. The latter was a Break Exclusive 110HP with leather upholstery. Fantastic car, but road tax. Summer 2012 bought a Mercedes 250TD and moved once again in December 2013 and the Xsara Break Exclusive 110 hp purchased at Citroen dealership Damsté in Nieuwegein for € 1995, - and € 600, - got my MB250TD, where I> € 10,000, - had to sit .. That unreliable government anyway.

But the Xsara very quickly conjured a big smile on my face. Some small traces users saw the car very well. Color gris iceland and color you'll frequently encounter many cars PSA but also Xsara's. Car weighs 1240 kg. So the car has the same engine as in my Xantia, but weighing 1376 kg. So he goes away very rapidly. My execution, an ex-car importer as Exclusive version already very complete with an onboard computer, rain sensor, rear parking sensors, cruise control, four electric windows, rear center armrest and steering wheel-operated radio / CD player and a sunroof. Only heated front seats and navigation is optional. By buying I leave shortly thereafter spraying the front and rear bumpers and mirrors, which were dim. I have to portray on a fixed towbar a small hut rut sometimes. I let the car value.

There was some rust in the cable passage in the bodywork at the right front door and under the hood. On the roof on the roof are some rust bubbles and I myself have to remove the third brake light rust. From the clerk at I understood that my performance but seven have been delivered in the Netherlands. So if I'm going to Citromobile, I'm usually one of the most exclusive cars ... My Xsara break type 2B course is not on his C5 inspired look. With my 1.92 m until I was over and I can see the hood. C5 rides more like a grande routiere, but recently I have experienced in the Pyrenees that the Xsara is a nimble car especially, which itself perfectly at home. In July 2014 I left the car chip tuning with Chip Meister in Leusden, on the advice of Damsté. Excellent choice! The horsepower has gone from 110 to 140 and torque from 250 to 310 nM. With family on board I've worked in Germany 205 km / h drove it on the counter.

When overtaking the car drags you in no time beyond the vehicle ahead. My usage is at around 1: 17/18. The car has plenty of luggage space for my family with two children aged 10 and 14. The radio / CD player Clarion is not very durable. Have been to the 3rd. Probably now one in a C8. The muffler has been replaced and rear brakes too, like the steering wheel, which is very ribbed, a known ailment. The right front spring is broken and thus replace both springs are. Damsté Houten does most of the maintenance. There also operates a real Xsara man and talks very pleasant. Last year during the journey to the holiday destination by car broke down suddenly and beyond Valance I suddenly had no power, what happened just thank God for parking. Family car with it on the breakdown service and four days later the turbo long piece appeared: consisting had collapsed in two layers and the innermost layer, a type of pneumothorax say.

After that, the car does not blow more beaten wrong. Recently, at Carrec in Soesterberg replaced the thermostat and stabistang. I had for the holidays in 2015 with a C5 break test gasoline driven out 2003 class by itself, drives really formidable, but I became so fond of the Xsara. Economically it is not to have driven much more valuable after 35,000 km at. But I drive efficient, never have been thinking and not too expensive a trip, always have power, it was luxury for me is secure with six airbags and I think it's a posh box. Elsewhere is a review from someone much better than I know how to appoint the unique qualities of the Xsara 110HP, that's just poetry. If Citroëngek I'm glad I'm in a modern car drives after that insane rusting MB250TD. Logically I can think of no reason at this point why the car for 2019 should road: the road tax goes back to € 200, - upward. It is a pleasure to be every time on the road with this voiture. Nice unobtrusive, but inside big. Hats off to the designers.

We have over 3 years but less than 6900, - spent on maintenance on the Volvo. So this was the last straw. Time for a new car.

The criteria:

1) Wagon no longer. The kids have grown. Time cots and prams is over.
2) Own surely like as much storage space as the Volvo
3) like the same tax scale
4) like (yet) economical than the Volvo
5) Although not drive, please be generous luggage compartment
6) Few KM programs. Please also not too old. Preferably less than 100.000 and / or up to 4 yrs old.
7) Diesel, and good tractor trailer. Preferably more than 120hp, 250nm

My wish list:
- VW Golf
the favorite of my maintenance garage. The TDI's are tasty economical. I read online anyway on VW's much problem stories. Bit standard car. Have online for the amount I have to spend quite a lot of KM or have been 5 or 6 years old.

- Opel Astra> Seems to be a decent car. According to many internet reviews more reliable than VW. But oh, what a boring model. Tax Scale higher than Volvo v40

- Audi A3> Very nice car. Just sit down. Actually quite small inside. Trunk Tray nothing. Tax Scale higher than Volvo v40. Budget for it is soon over 150.000km and / or 6 yrs old.

- BMW 1> Very nice car. Seems even smaller than the Audi.

- Mercedes A> Slack diesel, not a tractor trailer.

- Honda Civic> Was not really on my list. Came upstairs to give any notice Autotrack but only to look at power, maximum purchase amount and sort KM's. Actually quite very nice box. Trunk has 60 liters more than the Volvo! 2.2 liter diesel has 140 hp and 340 nm. Actually this car close touch all points of the aforementioned car list. Rave reviews online ....

So once again look at a Civic that was in nearby. The garagahouder if I'm even just take a night if I'm only brought back to 20.00. So at home wife and kids loaded it and drove round. Boy, kids are still wider than the V40. Trunk is plenty big. Up front 'ie fine. 2.2 common rail diesel with 6-speed attracts excellent, but also runs smoothly and quietly. Executive version is equipped. Sunroof, controlled air conditioning, radio with MP3 and USB, Xenon lights, etc ... the list is endless equipment. Pity that this trial copy has high mileage and substantially pulls to the right and best is some damage in the interior. This'm not. But the Civic is well.

Eventually I saw a beautiful 2.2 CDTi Executive at Honda Kraaiven in Tilburg. 64177km's. 2010. This is after the 2009 facelift. So fine. Made them test drive. Good trade can negotiate (2200 -) for Volvo. Had a 13-pin towbar under that could enter the deal. So done. It's an example from Belgium. I had to wait for the Dutch license plates, but now I got it!

The first 300km on it. And I find it a top car! I really do not understand that you almost never see. It is simply a better car than many competing mid-range. Hydroponic module is superb. Grip is great. The engine is quiet and pulls very well. Why drive not thousands of these cars around? Only downside, door and floor insulation is not top, it mainly comes on the highway quite some road noise inside. And the suspension is quite sporty (or hard) adjusted, but that's a taste thing, I do like that.

The average consumption so far is 5,6L / km. That's very neat.
In terms of reliability, I can say very little. But I have the intention to regular piece of writing here.

I am also very pleased with the neat handling by Honda Kraaiven in Tilburg. They are all appointments neatly kept.

Continued, and feel free to ask below ...
New tires (67 444 km)The first 3000 km is over. And still very happy with the car. But when purchasing pulled the car quite right. That would just be a matter of balance and alignment. Unfortunately, kept pulling the car after completion quite right. Eventually the dealer (Kraaiven in Tilburg) flipped tires front and rear. And voila, the car tracked well. Tires proved to be quite cupped. There were two moderate anyway tires on two good, and all four summer tires. With Kraaiven deliberated and decided to put under a new set with a huge discount because it was a lot guarantee.
Because I do not feel like in tire changes and previous cars had good experiences with Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons I got that's put underneath. And with good results. The car detects super weather. Pastes (even more) on the road. And the car has become a lot quieter.
Economy (or lack thereof) (68 552 km)Consumption is striking me a bit disappointing. I do not come under the 6.4 L / 100km average. But now I drive in practice many city trips and short (+/- 15-30km) rides in the area (many local customers). Above 5.6 L / 100km I get no more. Probably because I now have the car here and some "loose" started driving. 6.4 is still not bad and more economical than my previous Volvo V40. Who had 25pk less heated but still average 6,8L / 100km. But it's also not as tasty efficient as the latest generation 1.6-liter diesel particles.
First turn and first caravan holiday (87,000 km)For the holidays, the Civic had its first turn at Honda du Bois in Amersfoort. There's no weird things came out forward and beurtje had a reasonable price. And the Honda employee said, "Well sir, we'll see you again in a year." what I have experienced in any of my previous cars :-).
I have now thrown out the ANWB and turn it into Honda Assistance.

Then drove 2500 km with the caravan (+/- 1250kg). Return from holiday in France. Absolutely great. Engine had plenty of power. Temperature remained stable even though it was 32 degrees outside. Honda employee had been advised to use the 6th gear sparingly and primarily ride in his fifth. And that's what I did. Neat cruising around 95 km and was a possible overtaking the combination as at 110. slopes I paid special attention to gas mileage and I turned sometimes more economical to emerge in 4th gear. That was a tip of the Honda dealership, your meter is a caravan a more important indicator of what your engine then ask your tachometer. If 'ie over 15l / 100km was then I switched back. With my previous Volvo V40 I sat there and I had well over regularly to the same camp at his 3.

In terms of comfort a nice experience. After 15 hours of driving I was fresh enough at the camp to immediately put the awning out (we often do until the next day). Kids had plenty of room in the back. Climate Control has done its job. most is the chassis that hard for the holes in the Belgian motorways around Brussels or the bad asphalt on the outer ring Paris (N104).

Although opinions at home seriously divided i think'm certainly not look boring from the outside

New job, new car. If I wanted to settle for a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso as a precursor? No problem. Although opinions at home seriously divided i think'm certainly not look boring from the outside. In fact, in my opinion puts the exterior design in terms of the rest of the MPV to the crown. Certainly in white. After more than six years (35,000 kilometers), it is time to take stock.

The exterior is a high flyer, the inside is a different story - so the family will find unanimous. The incredibly beautiful, centrally atop the dash-mounted HD screen is like a flag on a mud barge. Excusez. It seems that the real inspiration was largely after drawing the outside. The dashboard stings like a fat lip in the interior and the rib which pulls away at the lower right direction, optical supports the central display that allows you to operate include the radio, ventilation and navigators. But that support is done or on his French, because the finish is only so-so with a gap between screen and rib as a result. Moreover, the money was clear after assembling it crystal clear display on the dashboard, because the copy that is embedded in the lip, the resolution and clarity of the 4 year old Samsung Galaxy Young where our youngest belt: it could be better. Not only in terms of the number of pixels is not a landmark, but there also seems to be about a kind of slight haze which continues to irritate. Elsewhere in the car is clear why this Frenchman is so competitively priced. The materials are often just not say anything too weakly structured, just too loose fitted something, that kind of things you only notice when you touch them.

The seats look 'different', with a job that seems to hug the tasty generous sitting in an arm. Unfortunately, you do not feel embraced in the seats. Who sits up, gets much support at the level of the shoulder, but looking for support for the lower back. The headrests are adjustable contrast, tasty and generous fine. Take not the luxury head restraints if you are taller than 1.90 meters: its side stand as wings inwards so you can lay it to rest between your head. Looks fine, but they sting when tall people especially in the shoulders.

The operation of the automation on board, only on the right, briefly (touch) screen. I can not be friends with. Adjusting the temperature is cumbersome (the air con is not oversized), and by the time you found recirculated air behind a smelly van, have you been long and wide at home. The same applies to the search for another music channel (audio sounds fine otherwise!), Operating the navigation (the route is difficult to read, the voice guidance top!) And adjusting the general settings. It takes too much time and is not practical. Real, physical buttons are really better. And that knowing the French, because the steering wheel is littered with them. That is not so convenient, although the option to go with a scroll wheel as fast through your recent destinations, zoom in or you view recent calls list, which in turn is indeed.

And then the interference that gives the electronics ... Not only am I lost all institutions with some regularity, I regularly receive incorrect error messages (the tailgate is open, the belt is loose, the airbag is deactivated ...), I drive by the navi arranged through the meadows alongside the highway are the two screens as 1 to 2 times per week in full (on the speedometer after) out - to report cheerfully after a minute. Navi and radio do it in that time. And the phone call that you supplied is gone. According to my garage to get this car. Yes. That's what they really said!

The ride comfort is fine contrast. Okay, as long as you drive on well-maintained roads and not turn too soon, then. Otherwise squeaks and resonates the C4 (under the dashboard) that it is a delight. But he drives more smoothly. Filters bumps nice way, is quite stable and the engine does its work in peace. In addition, he goes straight incidentally rather than that "he makes a turn, but I find no big point. The all-weather tires mounted underneath my car noisemakers and lack grip, but that can not be charged Citroën.

The fine 120hp strong diesel under the hood has sufficient torque to drive along thoughtlessly with the traffic and makes the Grand Picasso no drinking farmer. In the Ardennes all can not hold on, but I do not need first to be up. Much more important is that "he is beautiful and downright super stop-start system that I have enjoyed in traffic. If you are a bit careful, you can according to the onboard computer best one to drive it 20. It now appears that the pump (just under) 1 to be 17, but that is a great value and is in line with consumption of my previous car; the Prius Wagon.

Less good is the placement of the folding tables in the back of the front seats. For small children, they sit at a perfect height, but mine are largely outgrown diapers and sitting there with their knees against it as well as the third row is used. And if we still have on the back: that is wide enough for three teenagers and is comprised of sitting furniture. However, folding (or down) of the seats every time a struggle (etje) and the belts of the outboard seats are only easy for grabs if you open the door.

As I read back the above, it looks like the C4 Grand Picasso is a crappy car. That is not the case. But he is afflicted with a whole slew of small and sometimes larger bad habits where they really a good time should look at Citroën. Then it could be simply a must! I myself must have a month or 4 wait for my final car comes and another colleague with the C4 may continue. I sing it out.
New round, new opportunities (67 451 km)

After my car did not want to lock (via remote control or manually with the key), the leasing company decided it was enough. My Citroen was therefore Monday exchanged last week for a new car: again a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso. Was the previous black in color, it is blue. Otherwise identical in terms of performance. With less mileage. But apart almost as old.

What stands out?
- The tires on my new car is quieter and stiffer. The all-weather tires have been replaced by a set of Bridgestones. This is the steering feel clear as well. No, still no bend knight who Fransoos. But he feels noticeably more at ease on the cloverleaf.
- The resonances that I had in my previous C4 Grand Pricasso are much more dominantly present in this instance.
- The operation of the air conditioning on hot days really the minimum side. Especially in urban environments with low speeds and a lot of traffic you chug it all quickly.
- Also in this Grand C4 Picasso is the dashboard of: the past week has already happened once. It apparently so really belongs to this model ...
- The materials used are not resistant to (probably) intensive use (my predecessor). I noted in my previous review all that I had reservations, at this Grand Tourer is the 'aluminum look' already peeling gearshift surround ...
Farewell (76 501 km)

In two weeks I have to renounce this Citroën. Thanks to several trips to Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic, I still quite fast these weeks of kilometers can make. Time to make the final balance.

What's good:
- Beautiful, sharp screen on top of the dashboard.
- Large trunk.
- Excellent performance engine.
- Excellent start-stop. Engine stays long break, start is almost vibration-free.
- Wonderfully comfortable (apart from the seats).
- Extended windscreen groooote awnings.
- Two USB connections and socket for charging your phone. Top!!!
- Sound standard audio system.
- Generous equipment (including easy entry).
- Headrests can fine high. Applies only to those substances copies!
- More than enough place up front.
- Attractive design type (in my opinion the best car in its segment).
- Excellent voice guided navigation
- Space on 2nd row and 3rd row is not used.
- Power consumption in normal driving on congested routes (1 in 16.5).
- Silence on board (excluding the engine).
- Own adjustable vents for 2nd row.
- Operation Cruise control: very logical button operation.
- Last destinations quickly retrievable.
- Call list quickly retrievable.

What is adequate:
- Road holding (he drives wonderfully straight, curves are less 'thing').
- Seating on 2nd row and 3rd row is sometimes used.
- Consumption when Germany is firmer drove (1 in 11).
- Visibility around.
- Operating from the steering wheel (useful functions, but too many buttons).
- Speed navigation.

What could be better:
- Slightly engine rumble at constant speeds (audio out).
- Design interior - taste issue.
- My wife will engage the clutch 'worthless'. You know. I myself have no problem with.
- Quality microphone to call. Quite a few remarks about receiving. Dull, far away.
- Entering postcodes in navigating is not possible.
- Entering POIs.
- Lower screen: not so sharp, it seems there is a haze.
- Turning circle.
- Seat rear seats is relatively short.
- Too bad you can not get this car without tables behind the front seats. His ruimtevreters.
- Position (of the very strong) cup holders: you have to reach too far.

Where they must quickly Citroen to get started:
- Amount creaks, rattles.
- Used materials. Looks good, but in practice not so solid.
- Shape of the front seats: too little support in the lower back, too top.
- Squeaky pedals; especially the coupling sigh.
- Braking distance - both all-weather tires and summer tires on. That competition is doing really better. Especially with the whole family on board the extra steps not fine.
- Upholstery chairs is quite contagious (white jobs) and the black parts look soon grubby and 'washed' out.
- Upholstery (substance) of the seats leave you sweating in your suit. No bother if I have jeans ...
- Readability of the navigation system. The route is displayed with a thin blue line.
- Direct coupling between the lower and upper screen. Ergo: you actually see two times the same, but in a different guise. Better would be: top navi, including audio / climate / phone - or vice versa - etc.).
- New Picasso's recently come without the cover plates between the 2nd and the 3rd zitzij. That is to dig the umbrellas and shopping.
- Parking Sensors work with a small delay. Not convenient.

What is absolutely worthless:
- Ease (sic!) Of home automation. Ordinary buttons work much faster.
- Adjust temperature (or radio)? Call? Then you immediately lose your navigation screen.
- Number of crashes of the (software) automation. Though: in my 2nd Picasso I "only" had two crashes, one near Munich when I came to a large node ...
- Resona Ties behind the dashboard at low speeds.
- Annoying rattling of the wipers in the latter part of their swipe. Only on the highway (> 110 km / h). Works very tiring. Garage was not resolved.
- Operation air conditioning on hot days is really below par in the city, especially for a traffic light. On the highway it is fine if you're driving alone. With the whole family on board it is then very thin.

---

Am I going to miss this car? No. The kids yearn for the Prius Wagon. I look forward to my new car: a BMW 2 Gran Tourer. I fully realize that this car has a very different level and I also expect there affiliating quality. But the quality of these cars (and I mean the one that I drive now) is to my standards below average and similar to my tear-jerking experience with the Renault Grand Scénic.

Had this been my own car, I had become genuinely sad about the quality of this voiture. Or as my wife yesterday summed up so well after a ride family in Friesland: He does not have 80,000 kilometers on the clock, but he drives like a car that has traveled four times.

What is unfortunate is that the negatives outweigh the (many) positives in gravity. I really feel that this Citroen C4 Grand Picasso potentially has put down a very good car, but I feel that there is just invested too little in the last dotting the 'i'.
Epilogue (77 549 km)

The Citrofielen who have taken my review on the grain, I recommend to not just continue reading. But the last two weeks - the car will return Monday to the fleet manager - put an exclamation mark behind my earlier findings and the family almost shun these C4 Grand Picasso. What did two weeks Limburg?

- Three retirements of automation;
- An air conditioner that did not blow harder until 2 times than scolding wind (but that was the effect of any one anyway even visited local dealer within Citroen values);
- A sudden burning service light - while the trip computer promises 6,500 km free mileage and (right already, briefly) dealer indicated that I could drive another 3.800 kilometers according to the accounts of Citroën ...
- a broken drawstring for folding down the middle chair of the 2nd row;
- My cell phone is no longer recognized regularly and must therefore often be linked manually - which by the way is very easy;
- 2 errors (1x airbag deactivated, 1x back cover - solved in both cases by auto turn off and start again);
- One of the two USB ports has given up on;
- With a full load (luggage and 6 people on board) have to brake hard, is asking for jitters: heavily loaded this car simply slows abysmal;
- Audio I (first) wanted to play via a USB stick, turned out to be sortable. Albums, artists and songs (apparently?) Jumble.

But to conclude with something positive:
- after a deep pit all resonances are gone;
- Powertrain with great start-stop has stolen my heart! Those 120 horses under the hood are potent enough for normal use and do their work in peace.

So I own the armrest in the middle with some extra adhesive damping pads and some mousse between the wiring stopped over the radio

The Megane is my lease; taken from a departed colleague. Unfortunately, currently in the 20% category. I was quite curious; for the first time a French car and a very popular model. And it turns out to be a reasonable car. Good looks with ample storage space and a comfortable touring car on the highway. The quality feel like VW unfortunately omitted. Use of materials and workmanship even lagging behind the VW Polo (new type). To unrest in urban areas and on poor road surfaces. Many by noise. The Arkamys sound system is quite inadequate. Doors slam? No flop. In short, a very good choice when it comes to the price / quality ratio in the 14% category. Does that benefit away? Then just a reasonable car, no more and no less.
Reliable partner (134,000 km)

The Megane has so far proved extremely reliable. No problem except for regular maintenance. Nice car on the highway. Beyond restless less good roads. Overall just a good car but left in quality perception of a Volkswagen. Lack is a decent cup holder!
First problem (157.000 km)

The air conditioning broke down. Quickly repaired by the dealer and hit the road again.
Further still a reliable and pleasant companion.
No indicates contraction .. (169.000 km)

The Megane is his last year and gives no shrinking yet. Every day with fun boarding again. Regular dealer thunder like and go. And already look forward to a successor. The Renault brand has certainly convinced me. Regarding the budget and the addition anyway look at the Clio Estate dci ...
Reliable (200.000 km)

Just passed the 2 tons and the Megane proves itself as a reliable partner. No problem, of course, neatly regular maintenance. Not too much use. May still join until October.
Towards end of contract .. (211.000 km)

The Megane at the Hautes Alpes in France after Paris and a bit affected. All this hassle. To go until October and then switched to a fellow countryman: the Peugeot 308SW.

In late 2008, I ordered a final series Toyota Avensis 'Traveller', (a 'Luna' with some extra features such as navigation, light and rain sensor and cruise control) for our loyal mechanic, specializing in Toyota but recently "independent" of one brand . On January 2, 2009, I entered the car and put into use.

Why Toyota? Due to the very positive experience with our other Toyota, the Yaris 1.0, which also was bought new at the same garage and it did still outstanding after 8 years and 120,000 km. (see other review).

It was a rational choice that I made play little or no eomtie; After a test drive did the car. He was quiet, felt solid and reliable to but called no driving emotion. Sent some heavy, switched some rough and had a non-consistent clutch. That is to say that it aangrijpmoment of the coupling is dependent on the load of the engine.
Besides the confidence in the brand and the mechanic, the very large interior gifts, the silence, the comfortable seating position and the many options to the decision to buy the car.

After the first 1000 'punctures' km I decided to go with 100% synthetic oil, instead of the 'prescribed' semi-synthetic oil. A decision which I still have not lamented: slightly longer maintenance intervals and reduced oil consumption.

Engine:
The 2l diesel with 126HP becomes more efficient; in normal use today 5,4l / 100km or 1 / 18.5. In the beginning this was 6 to 6.5 l / 100km.
Even after 200,000 km I still need to do when no oil, even if I leave after 20.000km do little maintenance.
Below 2000rpm the engine that hollow - always - and there is still the typical boost from that speed.

Usage:
Especially long distances on motorways. In summer caravan (1.000kg) with almost doubling consumption as a result.

Maintenance and wear:
Until now I still drive with the original battery, original clutch, original shock absorbers and original brake discs ...
Except pads front and rear tires, belt power steering, air filter, pollen filter, oil filter on time and , everything is still original was replaced.

Small alcoves worse:
So I own the armrest in the middle with some extra adhesive damping pads and some mousse between the wiring stopped over the radio (under the center compartment above dash) and the door of the glove compartment to make more terminals. The cover of the fuses must regularly what 'reformed' or are rattling too.

Body:
Except for some scratches in the door of bikes and on the bumpers of several failed parking maneuvers (my children have learned to drive this car) my body still looks super neat. No rust. Car is however always outside.

Additional interventions:
At 100,000 and 200.000km I left completely disassemble the valves of the carbon treatment system and cleaning after engine failure error. After this no more problems.

When the car had just under 200k, I hesitated to change because of the trade-in value would drop dramatically after 200k ... With my previous cars I passed almost without problems 300k and I feel (I hope at least) that I might actually get hassle + 400k with this car

It was time for a new car lease and lease after two periods having driven in a Nissan Quasqai I thought it was about time for something else

Drive blessed all optie.s is a valuable addition to the half-leather trim and color of the car black roof with red is really him. Comfort is very good and the performance is just fine the height row behavior and how it is arranged around I find out gorgeous. Prestatie.s the motor has enough spunk and you know will get along with the rest of the traffic and find not too expensive ride him he drives the same way as me kwa fuel Clio 4 that I swapped in.

Reliability definitely a plus point good visibility and good sitting height and to be honest never had any problems with me all Renaults. The road behavior is good send good at all you can feel it through the stiffer suspension more than me Clio 4 but I call certainly not a minus point. Higher denied the sitting position and the seats are nicely finished mostly higher boarding and seating position suits me fine less from me back there through that is definitely a plus point.

After a week driving a color combination of red and black very satisfied owner of the Helly Hansen is also damn good and he falls I opted entitled to this color. Minimum points no not really any bad word about the Captur rather a very satisfied owner who get in so and so tasty three year ride and having fun every morning / day and enjoy again this wonderfully moving car.

It was time for a new car lease and lease after two periods having driven in a Nissan Quasqai I thought it was about time for something else.

In the search for a new car, I had a number of requirements:
* The car must have a high instep.
* Space trunk with not too high a threshold so that my aging german shepherd it easier to get in and out.
* Plenty of room to transport my family
* comfortable beds
* Practical
* Preferably a bit spicier than my last quasqai
* Nice appearance

after an extensive search yet eventually chose a lemon C4 Picasso Business Pure Tech S & S six-speed, 1.2-liter, three cylinders and 131 horsepower at 1750 rpm with optional Luxury Pack which provide light metal wheels, 3D LED lights behind, Park Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Privacy Glass, LED daytime running lights and a spare wheel.
I opted for the three-cylinder because it fit better in terms of cost. I am of the generation that an engine must have a lot polls and four cylinders is quite minimal, but after a test drive in a normal C4 with three cylinder engine I dared it to take the risk and I must confess that motor 100% me too bad.

The engine also occurs in low speed fine work and a smoother and quieter than the 1.6 four cylinder engine from my last Quasqai. I had expected a small engine still had to have more of Horticultural high speed but the small wonder is doing well at low speed, here I am so very happy about.

The success of the six-speed gearbox is a bit long but it turns otherwise fine. The car drives smoothly and fluently, is very comfortable and the seats are good.

Due to the high there is plenty of space inside and in the back you can sit well with three adults. For adults or older children are the tables in the back of the backrests of the front seats which too low so you against it comes with your knees and in my opinion only be used in children up to one year or 12.

The touch screen takes some getting used but this goes pretty fast , the I do not see it really as a disadvantage but for some functions such as the air conditioning are normal knobs in my opinion be more practical.

The car has a short nose that you do not see from the inside but the parking sensors in the front, which also hold the corners of the front bumper into the holes, parallel parking is fine without lumps.

Some points I'm with less content are as follows:
* I miss the handles above the front doors which help you to get out.
* The interior is far away but you are still just sit by the adjustment.
* The automatic parking is cumbersome, I think I will not make much use of it.

I am also hitherto pleasantly surprised by this car. The reliability and cost I can not say much right now, here, I'll post some more mileage on back
Very satisfied (3,000 km)So, I have to sit around 3000km, I got it started a new measurement of the fuel consumption after 1000km assuming that the car is now a bit 'loose'.
I'm not a speed demon, but driving with the traffic it say. During the 2000km have (especially roads 100km) I live / work traffic, a holiday trip and what drove traffic / messages.
If you're a little raft divert you can get a whole network of fuel consumption of 1: pick up 14,9 (according to the on-board computer). At speeds of around 130 on-board computer provides a consumption of about 1:13 and at speeds around 100 a consumption of ~ 1: 18. If you drive around 90 light consumption around 1:20.
When you know what further moves in the low gears the fuel consumption considerably, but this is not necessary because the engine has enough torque at low revs.

I am also very happy with the car. I like driving it honorable. It automatically park I have been mastered and I use it regularly. The performance I had in equipped with parking sensors front and rear, which is very pleasant, the short nose you see the front but not the parking sensors provide good when an object is too close.
The navigation system is getting used to in terms of reading while driving. I do not like to use the sound of the navigation system but had to turn here in order to understand what the navigation system now meant. Meanwhile I have the sound turned off again and brings the system to me neatly on the destinations that I import.
What I have found is very pleasant, the automatic wipers when it rains I set it almost always automatically and the speed of the wipers is then adjusted to the amount of rainfall and so does the car very well, I never have to intervene. The automatically activated lighting works fine and go smooth if you for example, a tunnel ride. Automatic lighting at the right time goes by some gray again. I'm used to use headlights to drive but which is now taken care of by the daytime running lights.
The blind spot detection also works well if I do not use it really, I keep looking over my shoulder, if I loose when should buy this option then I would not take him.
The default audio is reasonable. In "normal" volume meets fine but if you occasionally like anything more volume like it's definitely worth considering to invest in something more money here.

I have no electrical fault yet, which I expected after reading reviews quite a bit feared
All in all I am very happy with the car and I had no regrets even my choice.
