The judge at the RDW was very impressed with the condition of the car wrong and there was therefore found nothing on which the car

Like many business drivers without mileage I started looking in the C-segment to the ideal mix of:

- Up to 20% aggregation
- Up to 40k list price
- Fast but quiet diesel engine
- Extensive fittings and media options
- Lots of cargo space

The Skoda Octavia, Peugeot 308 and Mazda 6 fell immediately after the first test drive off, leaving the choice had to be made from the Seat Leon ST or the Volkswagen Golf Variant.

After a few evenings configure behind the laptop and a successful 2nd test drive was the final choice on the Leon ST FR Connect 2.0 liter 150 hp, plus:

- Business Plus Package
- Executive Package
- Winter package
- Safety II package
- Colour Technic gray

From the first kilometers I am very happy with my choice. The car drives and switches very smoothly (after 4 years to get used automatic) and is really fast. Particularly at higher revs, the car lots of power and in the sport mode you can draw the vowels from the street by the thrill possibility of the accelerator. The handling is taut and steering is solid.

The interior is perhaps less elegant than the interior of the Golf Highline, but the simplicity gives overview and rest and do nothing to cheap (as for my feeling with the 308 and the Ocatvia is the case).
Furthermore, the FR version provides a complete and sporty feel with Alcantara upholstery and red stitching throughout the interior.
The seats are fine, though it is beginning to look into the proper posture.

The Business Plus media system is brilliant and works rapidly. The navigation is very complete and convenient to operate. The SEAT Sound System provides a fantastic sound and connectivity with Bluetooth and Mirror Link make the disco complete.

The first impression is perfect!
Update. (4,000 km)

I come for my work a lot in Germany and have the car that can ride comfortably in.

The link looks increasingly flexible and the engine runs like a charm. In particular, the (lack of) sound at high rpm makes me very happy because I have the older version of the CT 200 am used (by us called the "iron").

A great feature is the additional media screen between the counters, which you can easily switch between phone, radio, navi, etc. When using the navigation on the big screen, you always on the 2nd screen phone or radio calls and use .

The control of the entire media system works great and all subcategories directly set-up access to settings can be changed.

The kids (and myself) love the panorama roof. Lovely when the sun shines!

Consumption at short distances is somewhat disappointing, with a sporty driving style I keep hooks 1 on 16/17. But this is more than offset by the longer distances, where the car 130 to cruise easily one gets 20.

My Ascona is also originally from France (iodine headlights!) And well off St Etienne in the Loire region. During a Peugeot meeting (the first and also the last with my then 204) in late March 2003 I came across this Ascona. Since I since I got my driver's license've Opel ride I was sold fast! WHAT a car! So few kilometers and completely original, no rust, no oil leakage or other crazy things. The only thing needed to be replaced was the silencer exhaust, there had been in a while water and the bunch was there rotten, but otherwise: very fine car! I got the car still leave some time because I had to settle a number of issues including a RDW inspection because the car was still on French registration (6774 RW 42). On June 16, 2003 was the day, the Ascona could be picked up from Hoogeveen for the show in Arnhem.

The judge at the RDW was very impressed with the condition of the car wrong and there was therefore found nothing on which the car could be failed with flying colors by so there! After that it was waiting for a good week at the Dutch registration plates and then could begin driving! What zooms * * the car lovely, especially at somewhat higher speeds in second and third, then sounds the 1200cc 4-cylinder as if two extra cylinders would sit under the hood. In October 2003, I've had value for insurance to assure him kunnnen fully comprehensive car. the car was 24.5 years old / young and could afford then 4500 Euro.
Next spring he may again for valuation, now 28 years old and with a small 50.000km on the counter ... I wonder what amount comes from here.

After purchase, I leave the car equipped with an immobilizer system and cruise control, also I have a radio / cassette / CD changer and speakers (rear) built, the type speakers 'building' and these are so attached that I do not I have sawing and drilling in the car, to let all original!

"Update" August 17, 2015
The Ascona is still put in my possession, in 2012 austrian badge, since I am from the Netherlands some years left. Meanwhile there is 74 863 km on the clock and are outside the normal uplift little changed no "silly" things. Set of new rubber in 2006 and 2015, new battery and pads set in 2012, and that was pretty much it. The car comes only in summer outdoor rust and partly because not. I still always bring a lot of attention, as the car gets older more and more!
PROBLEMSThe only problem occurred late June 2004 when the transmission is in its fourth remained snapped by a locking pin in the gearbox. At the height of the locking pin is there when a hole is drilled in the tray, new locking pin in it lower, hole close kitten and ready!
