Last year I imported the car from Germany. The purchase I made purely on feeling because I had to decide within 30 minutes to buy the car or not. The office to write about cars went quite fast closing. The car was complete with full service history and ran well so I decided to buy the car and export registration drive back.
Finally made a good choice. I have now about 80,000 km driven, and it is excellent like me. The 2.5 6 in line is a lovely torquey engine. This is a big difference with the 1.6 Renault on LPG that I had before. Overtake actions are no problem. The combination engine / automatic transmission is super.
I had doubts about the maintenance of these cars, but this is better than expected me. At 190,000 km replaced the priming diesel pump at 340 euros. At 240,000 km, the flexible piece is replaced with a catalyst at 370 euros. Furthermore, the normal maintenance which is automatically shown on approximately 35,000 km.
The car is wonderfully comfortable. You notice that this car was designed to make a lot of kilometers on the highway. At high speeds the car still feels very highly.
The only downside to the comfort seats. The Renault Megane I was better than the BMW.
Update (248.000 km)
Moreover, the consumption also includes me. In summer it is 5.8 l / 100km viable. In winter, 6.2 l / 100km. That's very much highway mileage anywhere or + max speed driving.
After more than six months have driven a Lexus CT200h (here I wrote a review about it) if I finally bought my new car. At first I wanted to go for the Audi A3 Limousine. But when I met the Audi A3 Ultra and had I was so pleasantly surprised a test drive, both through the financial picture when driving, I still have caved. Meanwhile I sit up 1,300 kilometers by car and it is time for a review.
The order and configuration
the car is ordered on 26-02-2014 at Audi Centrum Amsterdam and delivered on 30-04-2014. In my eyes this (even though each extra day waiting for one last) went quite smoothly.
I chose beside the standard equipment for the following configuration:

for the way the car was delivered nothing but praise. On arrival we had a good cup of coffee before we were escorted to the top floor. Here stood the car, concealed under a cloth ready. After signing all the papers and handing over the key to find the right; unpacking! The car was (as it should) was spotless and gleaming under the light coming from the spotlights in the ceiling. When opening and closing the door you notice right that much attention has been paid to the quality perception. With a gentle and confident plop the doors fall into the lock. The friendly saleswoman would naturally every function and option of the car extensively explain, but since I've driven more Audi I kindly thanked her. After a photo moment she drove the car down and I went on the road. The difference with the Lexus in the first hundred meters already noticeable. Do not get me wrong, the Lexus was anything but bad, but can not compete with these German.
Driving
it forward I think sometimes some light. The steering automatically adjusts to the speed. On the highway it sends heavy and quiet, which I think otherwise really delicious, but below 50 km / h, I find it just a tad too light. Regarding precision is exactly as we are used to from Audi; Excellent!
The gearbox is good. He turns nice and smooth. As for the powertrain, I have one flaw. The gears are too long. This is done to save grammetjes emissions. But in second gear through a residential area, it's not fine. The rows are then so low that the car starts to sputter. In itself this is not a problem, you have to adapt your driving here alone.
The seats are really superb, and well it should for € 1,590. Still, I'm very glad I took the sports seats in composition with half leather / half alcantara upholstery. The "sport cups" denotes firm but comfortable. Especially with better cornering this is very fine. In addition, you can customize virtually everything to your liking. All in all, you're like a prince!
Where I have the most pressure was made the capital. Is it enough? In order to be over very short there; Yes, it is enough. Well this is obviously very personal. Personally, I think that the car is also very good acceleration at higher speeds. You notice that the car picks up right at the bottom of the rev range from 1500 to 1800 rpm. Before you know it, you tap on the 180. Harder than this I have not ridden so far. According to the specifications, the top speed is 200 km / h. On the Internet I found had already stand a movie of someone who is more than 210 km / h on the clock. When the car is driven really well I'll go play on the German Autobahn and I put my findings.
The technique
The MMI system is the best system I've had so far in a car. Well I'll be late from a Lexus where to wish the infotainment system. Once you have the operation under control, it could not. I have read quite some reports about the crash of the system, sudden reboots and other related problems. Fortunately (right away) I've encountered so far none of these problems by yourself. You can choose whether you want to navigate through the buttons on the armrest, listen media or radio, or use the phone function. Also, you have gone through the center console between the speedometers also a screen that gives a lot of information about what you're doing. While navigating example shows which lane to take for an exit from this screen, and how long it takes before you have to turn. Also here you using the buttons on the steering wheel look up a contact or select a radio station. Very useful!
What works is also very good speech, provided you have completed the setup. The setup to customize the system to your statement, and it does this very well. I rarely that the system does not understand me.
The sound is to mention my standards above average. You can choose from the standard sound system, the Audi Sound System (I chose) and the Bang & Olufsen system. The system I chose uses 10 speakers, subwoofer and a six-channel amplifier. Obviously tune everything to your liking.
Also you can in the new MMI system also two mobile phones (at a time) pair via Bluetooth. This is, in my case, very convenient. Because I make use of both a business and personal phone. What I have not yet succeeded (if this is at all possible) to import both phone books. It is always whether the phone book of my business, or my private phone. Despite this drawback still a top feature for me!
Exterior
I find very successful exterior of the car. In order to keep the emission layer is there a good look at the aerodynamics. This has had a positive; the front bumper and side skirts are derived from the S line package. Also located the car on the S line sports suspension. This is some additional reduction I've been told. I read many reviews online that many people find hard base. Personally I do not agree; I find it stand a good balance between sporty and comfortable. He is definitely much softer suspension than my (hard board) Lexus. Then we come to the only downside for me; the rims. 17/18 inch absolutely would not hurt the car to my liking.
Conclusion
Very positive! I believe you but hand at two points in order to benefit from it financially attractive picture. Point 1: The longer gears. This will only be the beginning what a nuisance. Once accustomed to the vehicle will anticipate here while driving. Point 2: The lack of an S line package and larger wheels (the rims can be ordered as accessories). If you can live with this then it is an absolute must!
Bad luck! (1,400 km)07-05-2014
Today I have the car exactly one week in succession. This afternoon I wrote my review and a few hours later I stood with bad luck along the way. The engine suddenly started making a loud rubbing sound and I was afraid to drive. After a call with Audi Centrum Amsterdam this proved also to have been very wise. It looks like a manufacturing defect and currently they are working to fix this asap. In the meantime, I use an Audi A3 Sportback from 2012. This loan car I drove nearly 100 kilometers today. It runs really significantly less than my own A3. Hopefully I have him back tomorrow.

This morning I called by Audi Centrum Amsterdam. The sound is due to a gearbox problem in collaboration with the flywheel. Today they are going to dismantle the tank and replace. Hopefully, this solved the problem. The expectation is that I can pick up my car tomorrow.

Alas, alas ... Yesterday, not all parts arrived. It is expected the remaining parts come in this afternoon from Germany and they can make the car roadworthy. After this it must be tested extensively. Upcoming Monday they let me know if I can come pick up the car, this is obviously dependent on test results.

Finally! I just picked up my car. The gearbox, plates, clutch and flywheel are replaced. I do not know, but I think it's a very expensive business. The car runs perfectly again. What I actually expected is that they had cleaned the car here, but unfortunately that was not the case; minus. Hopefully the Audi goes now it longer. I'll keep you informed.
Autobahn! (2,600 km)The car exhibits after the repair fortunately no problems and drives like a charm. Last week went to Germany and so I had the opportunity to test the speed. At the counter, I arrived at a more than respectable 210 (!) Km per hour. The car remains very stable and solid feel, even at this kind of speed. All in all very satisfied!
The car suits still very good (7,000 km)I especially will appreciate the calm in the car (highway, cruise control 100-130km / h). It's a nice car trip. It looks like the car always "smoother" is drive to extent it has more mileage. Maybe this is addictive, I dare not say.
The 20,000 km passing (21,000 km)Unfortunately my car while it was parked hit. A hefty scratch and large scrape down the side and a dent in the rear bumper. Next week will be repaired this.
As for the ride, I still can not complain. The earlier problems are not front and in the interior is really to be seen not beep or kraakje. This is just as well because here I'm always very sensitive.
What do beeps lately seems my left front wheel when pulling away to about 20km / h, then it is no longer audible. At the first turn on 30.000km I will address this. Furthermore, no problems so far.
