Upon delivery of the Corsa E specifically asked not to wash or treat the car. No sooner said than done and I've been working two days to fully detailing the car. This implies that the paint of cars has been thoroughly washed in accordance with a predetermined roadmap and eventually is provided with a coating. It was striking that the car had little paint imperfections and that there is actual care is worn for safe transport.
During such a process, you find out that the car really is built soundly. Does everything to emit a certain extent, of course, quality. This also applies to all the rotating parts, such as the doors and the bonnet. Everything is nice and heavy and feels solid. This I will of course be felt in the pocketbook, but it is the experience better.
At the first trips I was surprised at the ease with which I could pull away. Really delicious such turbochargers already low picks up the revs. The 6-speed gearbox ensures that the highway will become a quiet and economical experience. Well I have to get used to switch on the 'fast', which requires such a container. Fortunately, the manual transmission accurate and you want to divert it yourself. In terms of noise in the car, you hear almost nothing unless you step on the gas equally tasty. A beautiful roffeltje looms than in the engine room which, despite the three cylinders, put a smile on your face. What a wonderful thing!
There are too many options to mention. The most important I mention below. Is good to report that the "Bringo 'navigation is useless and that for the application that is required for this (69 euros) you better have a Garmin / TomTom can buy. I am also happy with the sound and control them via the display / control. During the call, you understand well on both sides. I still have to get used to the climate control / sensors, but I'm obviously out of a car 16 years old ...
I am also still come across any weird / annoying noises. The trip runs silently and I expect the next time not to run into problems.
Consumption is now according to the computer
1: 16.7, where I expect this still Slightly going to be better. Now at first but once moving off the 'free' liters, I'll see what happens.
After much deliberation and a move back to the Netherlands decided to buy instead of a big car 2 smaller cars. As a car enthusiast you want to have some fun and pure and we had the opportunity and luxury to do this. In addition to the mini clubman cooper (our first choice as permanent car) looking for a car with it. Wanted a convertible (miss my old MG F of years ago) and choice and budget was between mini convertible, Audi TT and some more exotic stuff like alfa brera.
A search for a Cooper S (yes, I wanted power) I thought the JCW variants were unreachable.
It was the model from 2009, and finally I can get a chili pepper red JCW for a very good price (read you buy a nice new car, what a price!). A risk but given few skiing kilometers worth it.
The car and yells the color but only connoisseurs recognize the emblem of Works to realize that this is a very special model. The main reason for me as a love for the JCW was not the exclusivity or higher power, but primarily the exhaust sound that worried me goosebumps every time.
The car was neat, but not super groomed (thought minis always kept values by fans) and a reasonable full list of options including leather, climate control, automatic lights, dimming mirror, navigation, atmospheric interior lighting, folding door mirrors, xenon, mini sound boost, rear sensors (standard way), etc.
downside is just that mini everything as additional selling and sometimes you realize that things are not logical sit on. Check so if you are planning 1 to buy what you absolutely to want, because sometimes really miss you things you expected to have for that price (as our full clubman has no car nomic meshing lighting?)
The car is fine for my height (1,90+) and an absolute blast and pleasure to drive. very tight and communicative. The 17inch (205/45) are beautiful and plentiful. think people with 18inch wheels literally have no attenuation.
The engine (211PK) takes sharp and in sport mode more. The exhaust roars and gas release in certain rpm (eg 50 in three) results in an exit pop a la DTC regegiseert by mini-technology and fake, but owh as kick and gives a lot of looks from bystanders.
The car even without sport mode does require a more aggressive driving. It's a huge difference between the Cooper S we have that you can drive tremendously comfortable and quiet, this is a compliment for JCW that have changed behavior (steering, communications and feeling of the engine and throttle) but therefore not suitable for everyone.
Problems so far only with the V-belt which was loose. should not be able (and probably reason for sale due to high costs for replacement) but this is repaired free of charge by mini-dealer and importer due to low km state. Best service!
An update request after more km's and feel free to ask!
Ps Comfort is sufficient because of the expectation of a "sports car" in practice compared to average thought about comfort is obviously insufficient.
Update (48,000 km)Update now I drive what have driven more. Recently had an MOT and servicing, which did not mention worthy things (new brakes rear)
Furthermore I bought at 47 000 new tires (runflat Continentals) which were clearly replacement to. The new tires are very fine and stick to the road, without a lot of road noise. It remains strange ride with runflat where you find the side is heavier and sturdier.
Also my first experience on the German autobahn, with +200 km / h open (!) On the autobahn. What a machine! I was afraid that would be a small car with a windy day struggling with bumps seems like he was glued to the road. completely safe feeling and wind noise were open with me giant.
