It is early October. Early in the morning. If it is slow light, the temperature falls just below the freezing point. Dewdrops turn into ice crystals, which settle on the grass along the shores of Lake Harris in the Adirondacks National Park, NY, USA First fall colors are visible, fog occurs on the water. I am on one of the most beautiful sunrises I've ever recorded.

Autumn Colours
Every year in September and October when the days are shorter and softer light reveals the mystery of the Indian Summer. Everyone knows that it is coming, but you are never sure of the severity and intensity of autumn colors. Which makes the colors brighter one year than the other one can say. Experts contradict each other. One says that a cool summer is the most important element, the other says that much rain to fall, the next states that the trees need frost as much as possible and last calls that the trees that are the highest and northernmost first will discolor .

Especially the bright yellow beeches and the bright red maples that stand out. Remarkably, the same trees discolor else in the Dutch clay than in the north of the US The soil is also an important factor, but it is probably a combination of all these elements that the Indian Summer sooner or later leave erupt.
The term 'Indian Summer' in recent years will symbolize the color festival, but actually is the Indian Summer designated the last effort of the summer. It is a time of good and relatively warm weather before the cold finally makes its appearance, but it is now more brightly colored autumn hues.

Lake Harris
Here on the shores of the lake no movie stars. I have to entertain with a few geese, but would I currently have no better place to be desired than along the waters of Lake Harris, where the sun has now risen, the mist for a wonderful atmosphere makes and the autumn colors are at their best .
Who says Scandinavia, says outdoor. Also Norway -land Vikings, trolls and legenden- is no exception. No country is so natural with what that gives the outside world. This is clearly noticeable in the winter when the landscape turns into a magical winter wonderland and the population almost naturally to the skiing and cross country skiing goes, but the Norwegians know to maximize the nature in the summer. So skiing mecca transforms Trysil in the summer in a mountain paradise for young and old. The bicycle is the best way here to explore the impressive surroundings, so let yourself be carried away by the rhythm of the Norwegian nature in Trysil!
TrysilfjelletThe view from the Trysilfjellet is magnificent!
Trysil Bike Arena
The friendly mountains of Trysil was a perfect starting point for the development of the so-called "Bike Arena Trysil. This name may sound like a demarcated area, but the Norwegians do not know. It stands for all the trails in the region. Many natural trails have long been available, but these are clearly marked by the development of this project and easy to find. In addition, the Bike Arena Trysil the predisposition entailed also develop the mountain bike park Gullia, the perfect place to practice your skills. In total, the Trysil Bike Arena has over 100 km of natural trails and 12 kilometers of newly paved paths, the latter still being developed.
The development of this plan goes beyond expectations. The landscaped trails, partly in Gullia park, are designed so that they are the natural forms of the landscape perfectly follow. This brand you immediately as you enter the paths; the path feels so incredibly smoothly and naturally that you can go on for hours without going bored.
FjellrundenAlthough the Fjellrunden goes around the mountain, there is still quite a lot of climbing and descending work
Gullia: Happy Rabbit hopping on and descend via Sweet Dreams
"I could practice here for hours without getting bored, and I've been mountain biking for years", says our guide Erik Trysil Guidene when we after a short practice session took the Gullia park. According to him, this park is designed so that even climbing is fun to do. That is a promise that he will of course be adhered to! Gullia is actually the start of every mountain biker in Trysil. This park has over 10 kilometers of new paths and also offers specific training components. At the entrance of the park is a beautiful new pump track laid out you can continue endlessly pursue a number of different techniques of mountain biking. Also around the park are countless places where you can get the feeling of mountain biking mastered on small training locations, without having thus hunted raging mountain bikers on the trails.
"Gullia is so constructed that even climbing is fun," says Erik guide. He appears to be right, even our legs flat Holland are accustomed to rising parts in Gullia able to fine!
In Gullia routes are classified according to the ski concept; the trails are coded in green, blue and red and contain so many route combinations at different levels. The naming of the track perfectly the flow of the path. Happy Rabbit with 47 humps succession to Sweet Dreams, a flow track where you can lose yourself so wonderfully in mountain biking that you would never want to do anything else. The red trail called 'French Moustache "is again an entirely different order challenge in terms of level and form of this track also leaves little to the imagination! There is endless range for both beginners and advanced. The nodes and difficulty levels are so clear that you do not have time to move away while you are mountain biking and because you can create your own route you can stay there as long drive around until your legs can no longer! Guide Erik was right, as you enter Gullia once will save you hard weather be! At most, the Magic Moose will pose a greater temptation for mountain bike freak - something you otherwise is naturally when you're only one hour in summer Trysil.
GulliaThe accessible Gullia is the perfect start for every mountain biker in Trysil
Rushing Magic Moose
Who thought of Gullia alone may be excited, is wrong. "Wait till you do the Magic Moose", the often heard response to all the positive comments about Gullia. The Magic Moose trail should be the superlative, and it worked!
There the amenities are still available for the winter season made clever use. In summer one of the stoeltjesliften-the-Fjellekspressen on weekends open and you can comfortably (read: not climbing, the region has its steep roads) up with your bike, in order from the mountain 'Trysilfjellet' the Magic Moose to pack down. This landscaped trail winds through the magical forests and the beautiful ski runs away to form a 7.5 km long flow trail. A flow trail which in one word is delightful. The beautiful scenery combined with a challenging path and delicious flow that it is -you have basically does not staircases that you continuously again chairlift which would hold up. Even if you reach the first of the (in) voltage slightly trembling legs finish. With "mooses" the trail may have little to do, but magic is!
FjellekspressenThe Fjellekspressen brings you and your bike on weekends comfortably to great heights Trysil Bike Arena, short trails Gullia or just a longer route if Fjellrunden are all possibleFor each level, there is found sufficient challenge in the region; Short paths Gullia or just a longer route if the Fjellrunden
mighty Fjellrunden
The Fjellekspressen not only brings you to the start of the Magic Moose, but also provides the ability to cycle the impressive Fjellrunden. Through this more than 13 km long trail bike (or hike) you around Trysilfjellet Mountain. This definitely makes for breathtaking views, in addition to the challenges. The trail varies in difficulty and has some pieces that are marked as red, so the experience is required, but then you have to ride a great route; blistering downhills, swampy paths and mystical forests, you have it all if you drive the Fjellrunden! As non-experienced climber (yet accustomed to the flat Dutch bicycle paths) was certainly a big challenge, but the breathtaking views are the kuitenbijter happy little more than worth it!
Trysil Bike ArenaAs you can expect from the Norwegians, the routes specified and clearly there are clear maps of the region available. Getting lost is not an option so! FjellekspressenThe Fjellekspressen brings you and your bike in a beautiful 10 minute drive comfortably to the top. Ideal!
Mountain Paradise Trysil
After several days of mountain biking in Trysil I'm sold. The paths remain fun and challenging nature is breathtakingly beautiful. The huge total length of trails makes you few people encounter during your trip. It, alone or with your bike buddy is enjoying the highest order! The facilities are also excellent. From the hotel you can be so very high quality mountain bikes to go straight on the road. The region is compact enough to always be near a starting point of a trail and there is plenty of variety available to entertain you for days. For beginners and intermediates there are also book courses through Trysil Guidene to explore the trails and learn well the intricacies of mountain biking. The trails are also kept safe and well and can be found for small children, there are many suitable paths. The mountain biking here is become a perfect family activity!
But ultimately, to me is the most amazing of Trysil still everyone is always out. It's wonderful to see how groups of friends, families and solo cyclists of all ages are constantly outside, repeatedly set off and always seem to fully enjoy the stunning scenery. It is a mindset and a lifestyle to be envied. The naturalness with which one goes out here and tasty as meepakt a piece of the trails is something you just would dream of. And yet it is real. In Trysil, Norway that unknown piece which should be still so discovered.
